The 2024 fixture difficulty is only about who you actually played in 2024, and how good they were in 2024.

2024, Pies are clearly better as a result of their two HTH wins and that Carlton's ladder position is the result of a soft fixture.

Most likely both teams finish on the same points. This despite Carlton's significantly easier fixture. Add the two head to head wins and it's advantage Pies in 2024.

It's actually good to have a year off and simply enjoy finals as a neutral every now and again.
