Since 1995, Collingwood has generally been more successful than Carlton in the AFL. Collingwood has made more finals appearances and won more premierships during this period. Carlton has struggled with consistency and has not won a premiership since their last one in 1995, while Collingwood has won premierships in 2010 and 2018.

Shouldn't you be jumping off the sinking ship like Dusty. Such a front runner, good for the glory years then runs for the hills as soon as it gets tough.

He retired when he knew he was cooked for the good of the club. Unlike Pendles who shamelessly is taking up a spot to get the record games (which he won’t get anyway) when he is barely VFL standard. Bloke used to make others look like they were in slow motion (way back in 2013 lol) and now he is the one that is slower than my Nan.

Pies are now a rebuilding club (which is a tragic fall from grace so quickly). Pendles probably knows this and doesn’t care anymore so is chasing individual accolades. Smart man, but still selfish.

Also in those 4-5 years Dusty achieved more for Richmond than Pendlebury has for Collingwood in 401 games. That’s why he’ll be a legend and Pendles won’t even be even remembered as good as Lachie Neale and probably Cripps too tbh.

Yeah, wont get an argument from anybody that Carlton (and Essendon) were powerhouses in the first century of VFL football. Baggers won 16 flags in the first century of VFL/AFL football, a tremendous achievement.

Problem is as the game has grown and become professional those two clubs have not kept pace.

Carlton and Gold Coast are the modern day StK, the two regular bottom dwellers who haven't seriously contended for a premiership, instead just collected spoons and green shoots.

However, a few crusty old Baggers like to pretend that being good 50-60 years ago still means something today.
