You do know Rachele moved to the midfield in the first 8 weeks of last year and average 20 disposals and kicked 10.10 and Rankine has shown he can played quality midfield against Carlton this year. Dawson, Soligo, Rankine/Rachele is a quality starting 3 midfielders group, we still need a powerful burst midfielder like Pedlar coming through. Also some very good prospect in SANFL including Schoenberg who was excellent in his first few draft years and Berry who was also excellent a few years ago.

Rachele and him were both good (particularly Rachele) in the first few months of the season but faded as they were 2nd year players so the potential was already there for what he has shown this year.

But statistically better than Rozee at the same stage of their careers (2023 v 2020) - quite a bit better in some categories and surprisingly similar in goals and goal assists (Rozee played more forward in his second year from memory which is part of the reason his disposals would be significantly lower than Soligo)

Dawson has an AA jacket playing midfield.
Soligo looks every bit a future AA midfielder.
Rankine is adding stoppage work to his arsenal.
Still can increase Rachele’s midfield time.
Curtin is an unknown as to what position ends up his best but there’s midfield potential.

Reality is the talent is there, it’s whether or not Nicks can use it properly that’s the issue.
