If I'm to believe what I hear, games are won and lost in the centre square. Not entirely convinced but there is a good argument for it, look no further than our most recent premiership.
So what will our future centre square look like? The 4 players that will line up at the beginning of every big match in the future. The 'Plan A' when the game is on the line. Our next premiership centre square, if you will.
NicNat is the obvious choice for ruckman. The other spots will ideally be a:
Defensive Mid (tagger) + 2 Offensive Mids.
It's not going to be Priddis + Selwood forever. Talent will usurp them at some point if we are going to make a genuine flag run.
Interested to see Masten named in the middle this week, it would be the first time he started there all season.
Ebert has a chance but is probably best used as a utility who works into contests (ala the Jimmy Bartel role)
Have always been high on Scooter Selwood. Tackling is first class already and has speed and aggression.
Assume Rosa is a wingman, Shepperd will play HBF, LeCras to play primarily as a forward.
Will the forgotten man this season, Tom Swift, make a comeback?
Schuey and Koby Stevens are the dark horses. Can anyone see them being a permanent fix in the centre?
