Wouldn't that be nice:D

Long way to go yet though

From a Fremantle point of view who would you rather play in Prelim next week Sydney or Carlton? I reckon Carlton could trouble Fremantle with their small forwards if they make it that far. I think the Blues would trouble the Dockers more so then the Swans.

Thats possible but Sydney play well against Fremantle and they play a similar close cjecking game. We seem to play better against Carlton but anybody can win on the day. Whoever we play, I think we will really need to be on the ball. If not, anybody can beat you if you don't bring your A game.

As for the big one, Hawks would have to be favourites. They're playing well and they have a lot of firepower in the middle and up forward. Its a nice combination to have

Will put $1000 on Geelong to beat the Hawks next week. It will be the easiest money I'll ever make. :(

Yep, I have made plenty of cash over the years on this match.

And with us winning the first QF and them losing, Cats should be paying about $3.80 for 1-39 and $4 for < 15.5...I'll probably throw a hunge on each.

GF will be one of two possibilities IMO:

Hawthorn vs Fremantle
Fremantle vs Geelong

I can't see Port getting anywhere near Geelong this week (hope I'm wrong) and Fremantle after a weeks rest will be too strong and too well drilled to beat either one of a wounded Sydney or a lucky Carlton at Subiaco.

The Hawks should be frotthing to get a chance at ending the Kennett Curse in a final. If Geelong get through this week then it will be a massive Prelim.

I will reserve my final decision to the OP until the Prelims are played.

They'll again be the underdogs, but probably somewhere between the $2.00-2.50 mark. Still that's pretty juicy odds that will slightly ease the pain of losing to Geelong next week.:D

Cat fans must be salivating at the prospects. Two virtual bye's coming up (Port and Hawks) then they should be faves against Freo... it must be so close they can almost taste the sweetness of it.

Exciting times ahead for them.

I see what you're trying to do.

Port by ten goals this week.

There's absolutely no chance that the Hawks don't win this years premiership , (especially since learning from last years collapse)...... Surely lightning can't strike twice

I think the Hawks systematically dispatching the Swans twice in two weeks will do their confidence the world of good.

The Swans are only going at about 90% ATM and I think the Cats are as well.

So Hawks v Freo................................................................but Freo to win.

Considering I don't believe in Jinxes, I think this will finally be our year. The Cats will be sore and tired in the prelim. Either cats win a close one or the Hawks smash them by a lot. Either way Hawks have spent the entire year focused on winning the flag this year and ensuring we didn't risk anyone. If it was 2012 we probably would have played Rioli last week. I think the addition of Brian Lake should make the difference plus we're playing with a bit more spring in our step considering guys like Hill, Anderson, Duryea and even Spangher have been getting games.

Stars are aligning, the only thing that concerns me is Fremantle playing in the moment for their first ever Grand Final. It worked well for Port, Brisbane and Adelaide (the last 3 interstate clubs to debut in a GF). We are a better team than Freo and have usually played well against Ross Lyon coached sides.
Hawks to beat Geelong then beat Freo to win our 11th Flag.

THERE YOU GO. STICK THAT UP YOUR MOZZ!

Do Geelong supporters think they can beat Freo? Don't see how they can turn the tables.

Taking a quick look at the Geelong board they seem plenty confident to me. I would love for Freo to play them in the GF after a bruising clash with the Hawks. If all goes to plan we should be facing them with a stronger side as well.

First time ever as a Freo fan I've genuinely believed we can win the flag, very exciting times :thumbsu:

What if you face the Hawks? Normally I'd have them as slight favourites but they lost the GF last year and wouldn't want to lose another.

Certainly I'd rather we played Geelong as we have their measure at the moment but I wouldn't say the bolded should be a factor if we meet. Sure they lost the granny last year and haven't won that second flag yet but Freo players should be even hungrier; nothing bigger than playing a part in your club's first ever premiership.

It will likely be Geelong/Hawks v Freo in the GF I think. My guess for premier would be Hawks but it's very hard to predict atm.
