Probably just a question of whether the Essendon board will continue to be patient if the result don't come in 2025. They were quick to move on Rutten, so I wouldn't be confident in their patience based on that. Let me clear - if they're mid-table for most of the year then I think Scott keeps his job for 2026 when his contract expires, but if they're sitting in the bottom 4 for a good portion of the season then I think the pressure will be too great and we'll likely see Scott getting moved on.I dont think internally we expect to make finals. People at the club (CEO & list manager) know the list build has been a steaming pile of horse sh1t and we're not going anywhere unless we invest in youth and hit the draft. 4th youngest list next year and our most experienced players are all either cooked or garbage anyways. No choice but to go backwards to go forwards
Brad will be safe but needs to take a good hard look at himself , this is mostly down to team selection and not backing in older guys who are taking us nowhere. Most are gone but some still remain and are coming O.O.C
