Ollie Wines is the same age as Melbourne co-captain Jack Viney?

Yeah co-captain. If he was the sole captain he may have problems getting the respect from everyone since you're more likely to be naive when you're so young and he can also manage the responsibility much easier with two people. Guys like Cotchin and Murphy were probably thrown in too young and may have hurt their development.

Why does that make him a bad captain? You have to be a leader of men 18-35.
Not a boring SJW like half of big footy

Walker is pretty well accepted as the best captain in the league.

What a load of rubbish. I've seen this peddled a few times and frankly I don't think he's done anything to earn that.

This feels to me like an internet meme that has somehow caught on.

I'm curious though what characteristics does Walker bring that makes him superior to say Selwood from Geelong for example.

On topic - Ebert would seem a decent choice and maybe Wines as co-captain or vice captain.

I think it was pretty impressive that Walker's unintelligent enough to get burnt by Kyrgios on Twitter.

He definitely has a double digit IQ.

We need someone like this:

... sorry I meant this one

I hadn't realised before how similar the Jumbo Prince and the boy from Broken Hill are.

Can't help but think of this ad now when I think of Tex.
This ad gets saturation coverage during AFL games in Adelaide.

So yeh back on topic: Wines with Ebert, Trengove (at CHB) and Dixon as VC's

Agree pretty much entirely. Would probably go for Ollie over Ebert, but would not be unhappy with either. Boak just seems to be going through the motions at the moment, battles away without the kind of impact we've turned to him in the past for.

Selwood is absolutely and definitively the best leader in the AFL.

Wines is a gun. You'd give both nuts to have him running around for the Crows.
Did I say he was a bad player? No. I didn't.

Would probably be 4th or 5th in line for the captaincy at the crows.

Leading a club through the turmoil of the Phil Walsh tragedy is no easy thing. Was voted captain of the year last year by his peers. Which counts for a lot more than some silly opinion of a bogan bomber fan such as yourself.
