To me, Sammy did little to impress so he needs a bigun this week.

Skipper needs game time and has to go to Werribee. For all his talent, Bowden looks lost in the setup and also needs time to regain confidence and touch. Then simply replace Griffen for Eagleton and the side is set.

Prime candidates to be closely looked at are Bandy and Bowden, I would look at these two well before Power and Skipper.

From what we hear and see Bandy has had a great pre-season has been given plenty of ground time in the Wizard Cup but has done little to suggest he deserves a spot in the 22 ahead of anyone. He was close to pathetic on Friday night.

Bowden has been given a chance in terms of ground time in the Wizard Cup and has not asserted himself as I wouldve liked.

Both need to do alot more and show me more, before I put them ahead of Power and Skipper.

Skipper has done very little so far this Wizard cup to justify his selection. Not sure why people rate him so highly? Certainly Bandy has more runs on the board from past performances..

I guess what I am trying to say is Bandy in particular has been given plenty more game time in this Wizard Cup than Skipper and has not used it to secure his place in the side. Skipper particularly on Friday night hardly played.
I think given the same game time as Bandy has had, Skipper would be more convincing, thats my opinion. Skipper wouldve made more of the opportunity had he be given a chance. Skipper has been played of the bench, Bandy has been given a start on the ground. I would like to see Skipper or even Walsh given the opportunities Bandy has had.

I still don't see what others see in Daniel Cross, to me he still seems like a player devoid of much talent. I'd drop him to make way for Eagleton.

.
Go back and watch our win against Stkilda.Fast forward it to about a minute to go.There is a loose ball on the wing.Cross hits the ball running away from our goals and dives into the contest, feeds out a handball in the same motion that releases a running bulldog who bombs it forward creating the winning goal.It is hard to pick up but it was the most important possesion of the match and it just oozed quality and leadership. He does things like that constantly through out the game.He might not be skillful in the traditional sense but he has an enormous ability to find the footy and has the best hands at the club outside Westy.

And Sam Power. Powers hands are amazing. Very quick, strong and accurate. Never gets tackled with the ball.

Cross' most important contribution came earlier in the game when driven by a greater desire to get a loose ball he arrived to pick it up just before Goddard and in so doing crashed into Goddard's ribs
which stopped him in his tracks.

A great example of wanting the ball more than the opposition.

He is a very important player to the side.
