who would you rather be today? Malthouse or Leppsitch?

Easily Lep.

He's had the squad for all of 4 games, can't put all the blame on him.

Malthouse has had years so will have to take a lot more blame.

I would probably want to be Leppa, decent list just about 9 best 22 players are injured atm. We also have had a VERY hard start to the season. Hawthorn at aurora, geelong, Gc (no easy beats anymore) and an in-form port. Some of our injured players will be coming back over the next few weeks.
Carlton lost to Melbourne (lol), Richmond.

Rocky is but none of the others are. I follow West Coast closely but tbh you guys dont have any elit midfielders on your list. Shuey probably an A grader or B+

Agree to disagree on Rockliff.

I would say Kennedy and Mackenzie are elite players. Kennedy showed last year how good he is when fit with deplorable service. Mackenzie I would definitely argue is in the top handful of players in his position across the league. These guys are easily ranked 1 and 2 if you asked me to rate our entire list.

Shuey has a long way to go - B+ I would agree with. Darling and Naitanui are two other players I would suggest could get there in 2-3 years. There is also a bit of hype around Dom Sheed projecting that high one day.

But this isn't a Brisbane v WC argument, I merely think your definition of 'elite' is too lenient.

I was talking about your midfielders. IMO, l think Kennedy is exceptional and among the best forwards, close to Roughy. You have much better KPP players than us.

Not sure why you would disagree on Rocky tho, he was 5th or 6th in the Brownlow last yeara head of Pendles and such. He has been exceptional this season aaveraging over 100 in the dt and he is only 23 or 24.

Rockliff finished top 5 in the Brownlow.

We are pretty bereft of top-end midfield talent although guys like Shuey, Selwood, Masten and even Wellingham are just starting to get to their prime now. I'm hoping for that improvement to come soon but the cupboard is bare, no arguments from me.

I think he's borderline. I would definitely consider Pendlebury the better player.

Leppitch - No one gives 2 shits about Brisbane. No blow torch.

Malthouse - never minded Mick - can be a bit prickly - but is a multiple premiership coach - and when he did the tv commentary a couple of years back- i enjoyed it

Malcolmb Blight - when he took the million dollar pay cheque at StKilda - it didnt work - does anyone today remotely link Blight to StKilda - NO - it will be the same with Malthouse and Carlton

As for Leppitch - i thought he was an arrogant smug baaaarstd when he played - couldnt stand him at all - i can remember Dermott Brereton - saying in jest in commentary - Leppitch has got a head youd love to punch - i think thats the most accurate thing Dermie has ever said

Malthouse doesn't tolerate fools (in the media especially) and for that he gets 100% respect from me. More bosses in corporate Australia should be like that. Idiot nickel-and-dime journalists should only ask questions to which they generally don't know the answer to and/or presume the football public don't either, not questions to which they know the answer or are too stupid not to.

Journalists are pencil-pushing paper-shuffling hacks in these press conferences.

I get the distinct impression that you don't like JOURNO'S?
