Who's afraid of Rupert Murdoch? The end of an era.

I'm tipping Mendacious Murdoch and his lying acolytes will be the most despised people/outfit due to the damage they have wrought within the next few years.

This bloke or someone made up to be Kevin21, aka Kevin07 (PM).

'An ebullient Mr Rudd agreed to film the video at a bar in Brisbane over the weekend for the woman, who promptly posted it to TikTok where it’s already attracted more than 50,000 likes.

“You should make this woman your girlfriend because she is a serious sheila. I think she would be great for your future,’’ Mr Rudd says in the video.

“So don’t f**k around.”

Trust he was 'molly the monk' ....

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of people who think Murdoch’s organs speak only the truth.
Of course there are. I was talking to one yesterday who is convinced climate change is a hoax, Trump won the election et al. Probably believes the earth is flat too. However, the evidence via catastrophic climate events, the obvious aid comfort they are giving the kleptocrats at the cost of the average peep, along with other lies and half-truths will cause a rethink by those with at least a degree of self-awareness. One can only hope.

If you thought it was just Murdoch.

Here's the Nine Group (Channel 9, The Age and SMH) paying Andrew Hastie's legal bills.

They're not even pretending the MSM and conservatives aren't one in the same.

Hastie and the Nine Group are both being sued for defamation over the same article.

Which raises an interesting point
"There are questions as to why Nine is footing the Perth politician’s legal costs when he’s appearing as a defence witness in the media company’s own defamation trial."
The Plaintiff's counsel should enjoy raising that issue.

Mind you, I was talking to someone just the other day who parrotted all those loopy things you mention, and yet is not on social media except Linked In for his business. Where is someone like that getting their alfoil hat theories from?

Anyway, I hope you're right. The country is fast going down the toilet and a change of government to a party who are for the most part level-headed, focussed on boring policy for the greater good, and demonstrably not insane, will be a great start.

No doubt there are, just as many preach the ABC gospel - its very hard to know what public opinion is, when you ignore major influences, IF you believe they are major influences.

lies and half-truths are not unique to the anti climate change group .... as one degree of self awareness would tell those prosecuting the doom & gloom point of view.

Chosen one and i said as such ages ago

The thing you seem oblivious too is the ABC performs the traditional role of journalism which is holding power to account. It’s been judged objectively fair & non biased by countless reviews.

The Murdoch media relentlessly lobbies the agenda of the rich & powerful as determined in forums like the IPA & implemented by the liberal national party in which they have an obvious preference to keep power.

The ABC would hold to account a labor government while Murdoch would eviscerate them endlessly.

Traditional journalism holds both sides to account. Murdoch only plays for one team.

It’s not an equivalence.

Until now the 90-year-old media mogul has publicly stayed out of the fray and not commented on the election. But according to Murdoch biographer Michael Wolff in private he has called Trump “a ****ing idiot”.

You need review the coverage of the last election that left many ABC acolytes at odds with the results. Did one journo acclaim 'we lost'?

All Aussies ever wanted was some peace and quiet.

Yet this ****en scum gets his dogs to spark up over some perceived injustice against white conservatives EVERY ****ING DAY.

It will be a very good day for the world when his empire is done.

Generations of his prodigy are well placed to benefit from Murdochs business dealings:

'The chairman of the new Fox Corp., Murdoch—who shares ownership of his Fox and Disney assets with his children—had an estimated fortune of about $18.4 billion as of noon Wednesday, just about 12 hours after the deal was official. That’s about $4.3 billion more than he was worth on December 13, 2017, the day before Fox and Disney first announced the deal.' *

Hey, Ruperts only 90 - his eldest grandchild is 30 & lives in Australia.

are you honestly trying to make the claim that the ABC is as biased towards the left as Murdoch is to the right?
Just a yes or no is fine.

No - I am of the view that the ABC tries to disguise their attempts at balance. That is demonstrable on their news commentary panels on Q + A , the Drum & The Insiders.
Pile ons that represent opinion are obvious to viewers whether you agree with an opinion or not, so its easy to know when you are being sold something,
regardless of whether its the ABC or Fox.
The rapport between Alan Jones & Tanya Plibersek was an example of what can be achieved when opposite points of view are respected.

Richard court used to get portrayed as a nazi pow camp warden.
It works with the older generations but times have changed & most fair minded younger people never grew up ridiculing people as a laugh like previous generations. It’s from a bygone era. And yes when the world moves on those cartoons will be left in the cave. The world changes.

Check this out: 18th November, 2021 in The Advertiser;

Rupert Murdoch says business practices of Google and Facebook warrant scrutiny

News Corp’s executive chairman has accused the tech giants of censorship, collusion and a lack of transparency that has left other companies and consumers worse off.

What the f**k are you an about? Using the same kind of demented logic, did any Sky News/Murdoch/Costello/Stokes "journo" say 'we won'?

The ABC is the most reliable, the most even handed bringer of news we have ever had in this country and it's because of fools like you that jump on the band-wagon of "the ABC is biased" bullshit, that far-right Governments have tried to not only muzzle it but destroy it.

Without the ABC Bjelke Petersen would probably have been a Governor General, Brian Burke may have been made Governor of the Reserve Bank, Christian Porter could well be Prime Minister now, Phuong Ngo could have been a member of the NSW Parliament, The Warehouses would control all of gambling in Australia, Robert Trimboli would could have been head of Racing NSW, the Grifith mafia would control not only all the drug trade but the price of fruit and veg etc etc etc etc etc etc etc........

If you are willing to risk looking foolish AGAIN, have a ganda at this: 60 years of Four Corners episodes and try and imagine what Australia would like like without the ABC/Four Corners and proper investigative Journalism without fear or favour. https://www.abc.net.au/4corners/episodes/?year=2006 It's not an exhaustive list of exposés but if you were really serious about being "in the middle", as you relentlessly claim, then you can delve even deeper.

History, Australian and world history, viewed through cartoons is actually very fascinating and the cartoons of today and the depictions of politicians and issues of today's times, will be be very instructive in the future as well.

I dont deny the history of the ABC, I remember 4 Corners back to Michael Charlton.
The modern day show unfortunately belies its proud history.

However the post I replied to is the context of my comments, not the history of 4 Corners.

No coincidence that the two sanest countries in the Anglosphere, Canada and New Zealand, are two countries where Murdoch’s presence is particularly weak. He really is a carcinogen.
