Do you mean that Leppa is to be interviewed this week?

I'm pretty certain of that[/quote]

Reports from a person that I know who works out of Richmond is that Leppa is very highly regarded and especially in his work with the younger players but never heard of him being spoken about as a potential coach.

Don't think Leppa has ever hidden the fact he wants to be a senior coach somewhere, at some point

Very straight talker- doesn't mess about; might be just what we need right now

Tudor and Leppa were interviewed this week according to reports on Sen, as much as i like Leppa i cant see another ex player getting the gig straight after Vossy, Aker has said in the past Leppas are hard ar$e who tells it like it is which may or may not work depending on how many softies we have left.

Simpson, Craig, Leppa all have been/will be interviewed

Richardson, Tudor yet to be interviewed

Wouldn't mind betting this is the (or close enough to) the 5 person shortlist mentioned elsewhere

I'd be happy with all of them except Craig, here's hoping your mail is good. Cheers.

I think Tudor is the favourite for any open coaching job, as he is probably viewed as the bookies 'next cab off the rank'. If he really is the best of the current crop we need to make sure we sign him and aren't beaten to it by another team and/or offer. That is of course assuming he is also the right match for us. Harvey keeping his existing role with Tudor coming in as head coach is stil my first choice.

It was also mentioned that Alan Richardson will be interviewed in the next few days

I'm starting to feel sorry for whoever is our next coach.

The pressure to take us to the "next level" will be intense and (by the looks of it) will have to be done minus most/all of our high draft picks from 2011 and other defections. I hope whoever gets the gig addresses the myriad of problems in a thoughtful and robust manner.:footy:
