Who's to blame Murphy, Taylor or McGlynn?

...At the risk of being bagged, it would be helpful to Hawthorn's cause if he did his knee at training this week and forced the coaching staff to find a different solution because he should never play in the seniors again

Congratulations, you have posted the most disgusting comment I have ever read on here. And this year that is quite an effort.

Seems to me like the usual 'well we lost so lets blame players 18-22' thread.

In terms of form we are around 3rd so lets be positive and take that into the last 5 rounds.

Murphy showed again he is not up to it. Thought mcglynn was good. Talyor was good, although the free kick for a ruck infringment in the last quarter was unforgiveable.

Murphy has no ability to even half a contest if he is slightly out of position - which is fairly often as he lacks pace, agility and is not a great reader of the play - or any ability to leave his man to help out. The day was summed up when bartel took that mark - murphy again didnt get to the contest in time. .

When you are putting the boot in, don't let the facts get in the way of a good rant. If you were actually watching the game, you would have seen that a Geelong player bumped Murphy just enough to stop him getting to Bartel in time. No one would have made it there in time.

I don't normally like to bag players as they do generally try (except maybe the Bulldogs game) and I thought Taylor and McGlynn were generally good today. MMM noted Chappy had his quietest half for some time in the first half thanks to McGlynn.

Murphy is a different story. In 35 years of watching the Hawks, I cannot remember a player who has been such an obvious liability in the back line. He is weak (as noted earlier in this thread), he cannot read the play and is consistently out of position, he is slow and has no agility so cannot recover when he is consistently out of position, average players beat him 1 on 1 every week, he makes dumb decisions and he provides no run out of the backline. Why oh why is he on Hawthorn's list let alone playing every week? At the risk of being bagged, it would be helpful to Hawthorn's cause if he did his knee at training this week and forced the coaching staff to find a different solution because he should never play in the seniors again

When I first read your post I thought only a child would post such ignorant and disgusting drivel, then I realised that you have been watching the hawks for 35 years. Your post is a disgrace. Go find another team to watch. ( I wont say support)

LOL...Murphy had around 5 goals kicked on him today whilst on 4 different opponents.

Ablett, Rooke x 2, Hogan, can't think of the last.....all i know is the guy is a massive liability.

Totally agree.

He is a VFL player. Lacks intensity and is very weak one-on-one.

Weak one-on-one = not an AFL defender.

All those who are blaming Taylor, Murphy or McGlynn are to blame. Sorry but it's just not right for anyone to go picking on our players.
You newbies who have decided to jump on when we have had a loss are the culprits.
