Why are Port more hated than the Crows?

What is this endorsement or celebration of racism by the Crows you are suggesting?

Ridiculous...
Not an endorsement/celebration of the offence (the racist action), but the offender (Tex himself).

Did I expect him to be shunned? Of course not. He's a good player and was a Crows champion. If he was Johnny No Name his career probably would've been over. That's just the world we live in. Ethical consequences come after institutional success (i.e on field performance when it comes to AFL). Unless they're backed into such a corner where it can't be ignored. Tex's wrist slap served all parties.

Bottom line is unfortunately racism has tarnished both clubs... yet you throw stones.
Every club has idiot fans.

Only one club (not just in SA, but in the league) has a player who has made racist remarks on the field running around for them though. A player who they praise as a hero. That's the Crows and the Crows alone. Congratulations on that.
Port supporters have a far worse record when it comes to crowd behaviour, including towards your own coach this year!
What a pathetic attempt at deflection this is.

Suggest you read the OP again as this is on topic!

Port supporters have a reputation of having a higher proportion of feral behaviour, including racism & booing their own players & coaches.

Sometimes you have tried to blame it on Cats supporters...

Pretty sure I'd get three crows crowd incidents if I googled champ, there's d1ckheads in every large gathering & your sh1t stinks as much as anyone else.

No where near the number of unsavoury incidents that Port supporters have been involved in!

Go & find 3 incidents against the 1 opposition club...

Well post them all & give me a yearly breakdown of all crowd incidents across the league.

I've never understood this 'We are the high moral arbiters of upstanding behaviour' crap you lot drone on with it's bizarre, you all have roots at the former SANFL clubs you once supported & you booed, spat & swore as much as anyone else. The only time I've ever genuinely felt fear at a football match was at Elizabeth ffs.

Post as many fan incidents as you like, there's still no comparison between some fans being dickheads and a Crows player being a known racist.

See the thing is, this is just factually incorrect. The Adelaide Crows have a far worse record for attendees being ejected from Adelaide Oval.

There are also far more racial vilification incidents after Crows games, than the two very highly publicised ones from Port fans. Its almost like clockwork the the Adelaide Football Club has to come out and condemn racism after an Adelaide Oval game where an inidigenous opponent plays well.

Can you post the link on ejections as didn't believe they were readily available.

That's a fact, Port supporters are way more feral than Crows. But Port supporters are more passionate and make more noise. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

There is an element of nanna and librarian about Camry supporters.

Just the way it is.

Lol I was gonna say they save their racism for on the field.

But even that aside, there is basically zero chance that Port fans are on average more racist than crows fans given the difference in age demographic.

Reported incidents would suggest otherwise.

Anyone who has attended Port & Crows games knows the Port supporters get angrier, even booing their own coach.

Nothing to do with age demographic as racism has nothing to do with age!

Still waiting on that link proving I'm factually incorrect.

It's almost like you just made it up! ;)

Must be a conspiracy where Port incidents are reported more than Crows ones...

"Even booing their own coach." why do you think this is such an indicator of us being uncouth/unruly? Because your mob would instead go whining to 5AA if you were in the same situation?

There have been so many unsavoury incidents towards your own coach, opposition coaches (like Scott) & towards players.

All clubs have shit supporters, but Port have a far higher proportion compared to the Crows

The number of incidents speak for itself.

I really just don't think it's true. How can you sidestep the significance of one of your players racially abusing an aboriginal player, and remaining a cult favourite among your supporters.

That aside, the Advertiser Sport (which I assume is colouring your judgement) does a good job at controlling the narrative. Take the last showdown for instance. One of your fan punches our mascot in the face and one of your players lashes out at a fan. Yet all of the dialogue is about the alleged booing off of Rankine (which didn't even happen).

I think on every metric, crows supporters would be worse people.

Feel free to post a poll as to what opposition supporters think.

It's not even close. ;)

Well the "most hated club" poll and thread already exists and it is 62-40 your way so it's at least ballpark. That said:
1. The poll is from 2021-now and it's easier to NOT hate a shit club like Adelaide.
2. I have already explained that perception is not always reality.

Chris Scott bumped into a guy who had his back turned to him...

Imagine having to bring up Crows fans who were booing when they realised that play was restarting with JHF taking a kick from his mark.

This thread has devolved into Port and Crow supporters bickering between themselves about which of their fanbase is more feral. I thought that the point of this thread was supporters of other clubs to chime in about their views on these 2 clubs, not the views of fans of the clubs being discussed.
