Why are Port more hated than the Crows?

Crows are widely respected by Victorians while Port are laughed at for having tarps on their seats and losing a grand final by 119 points.
Similar to the WA teams with West Coast being widely respected by Victorians while Fremantle are seen as a joke.

However,
West Coast are more hated than Fremantle while Port are more hated than the Crows, hence why I asked the question in this thread.

Nah Victorians don't like Port because they are the most succesfull tier 1 football club in the history of the sport and Vics can't handle that the top 3 are from outside of the Vic heartland. Nothing more to it than that.

Based on what? I respect Port more due to the tradition of the club more than anything. And its cute they keep wanting to wear black and white stripes. Cant hate attempted imitation

Trying to be as objective as possible.

But port being around the mark and failing repeatedly (sometimes in embarrassing fashion) is easy to mock and dislike.

Crows have been irrelevant for a while now. And neutrals love the underdog nature of a club moving off the bottom of the ladder.

The whole feral supporter thing interests me. Carlton fans are infinitely my unpleasant than Melbourne or Sydney fans. Yet I still have more fun at Carlton home games

I'll sort you out in the cricket thread m7 if you are not careful.
Haha. Mate i was a South Adelaide kid back in the 80s and 90s when you guys virtually got GF celebrations started the night before the game so i have equal amounts of awe, respect and deep seated loathing for Port as a whole so its nice to feel some kind of superiority to them. :tearsofjoy:

What do you mean based on what? There were 3 top tier leagues for over 100 years, they won 40 odd flags. It's an incredible record. One I respect a great deal and I am no Port fan.
So you think Swan Districts are trying to imitate Collingwood also because they wear black and white stripes? Thousands of clubs wear black and white stripes, thats how sacred that is.
