Port didnt do the non victorians a favour by lsing to the cats. Had Port won, they could of had a non vic side like Giants or Swans in the grand final.
When will WA supporters smarten up and stop alingning themselves with SA and Syd teams who barely travel, and get some obvious advantages that WA teams dont?

To be fair, the was a very teal like aura to allowing that domination those years too....
Yep Port choking in 2020, 2021 , 2023 and now 2024 helped the Vic sides win the flags.

If Geelong win the flag this season, they should thanks Port.

Probably not 2023 to be honest. Doubt they were doing better than GWS in Prelim, and them losing to Carlton in their prelim had they rolled Brissy in QF would have created the horror show of a Carlton v Collingwood GF.

I dream of a gold coast vs GWS grand final

Freo lost to a superior hawks side in 2013 and 2015. Freo can't blame Vic bias in 2014. We went out in straight sets vs 2 non Vic sides.
In 2015 Hawks were flogged by WCE in a final at Subiaco. Once they got to the GF, guess what? As with every other flag they've won in the AFL era, they got to do it on their home ground against teams playing away. Even 1991 was on their home ground and all but one (2008 v Geelong) against non-Vic sides.

That is why Brisbane's 3-peat will always be better than Hawthorn's.... away from home against Vic sides.

Fair enough. Eagles 1992 and 1994 sides beat Geelong. I know, cats are not a Melbourne side that play home games at the MCG. But I can assume in 1992 the cats played more games in the MCG that year than the Eagles.

Crows beat the Saints in 1997 and North in 1998. Saints were a Waverly tenant but Played some games at the MCG. North in 1998 played many MCG games on a friday night that year, this was before the AFL decided to get smarter and Let Carlton, Collingwood , Essendon and Hawks play home games at the MCG on friday night for money reasons.
