Every time I watch those three teams play home games against interstate clubs MCG,AAMI and Etihad always look empty. (5k supporters max)

Has North and Melbourne considered borrowing covers from Port?

I hope the supporter of the three clubs can answer my questions.

In Norths case:

1) Exclusion from the VFL at conception
2) Being effectively nobbled for our first two decades in the VFL.
3) The urban sprawl
4) Being an Irish, catholic, working class club, in pre 60's protestant, empire loyalist, masonic Melbourne.

I'd imagine the Crows getting a march on Port as the main reason for their skewed growth.

It's the SANFL's fault. Those guys in red coats at AAMI Stadium are pretty damn intimidating.

I think I've discovered a link.

Norf - the fear of having to go to Tassie or Ballarat to support them
Melbourne - La Nina ---> Good snow seasons
Port - In Jail, not eligible for day release

2011 Attendances

BS excuse, we are on track for 50k members this year and we were excluded, we were the first side to have 1 million people in attendance in a full season as well.

Richmond must have a high % of Emos/Gothics in their supporter base. It might explain why they are contecnt to suffer as supporters

What a load of crap.

Hawthorn joined the same time as you. We were 'nobbled' for our first THREE decades.

As for the 'urban sprawl' and religious diatribe, not sure what that's about apart from making poor excuses for a poor club.

Hawthorn had the entire eastern corridor to themselves, were gifted a prime recruiting zone and are a downright ****ing disgrace for ending up on the brink of extinction in 1996 in the first place.

We were surrounded on all fronts by Carlton to the north east, Essendon to the north and Footscray on the other side of the Maribyrnong, and we were denied our own fricken territory for 40 years.

You would need to be a complete moron to view North and Hawthorns inception in the same light...............and guess what? You're over qualified.

Richmond must have the best supporters in the league.

We were excluded from the vfl.
We were a catholic club and working class.

30 years and still in the big 4 of Melbourne clubs.

The media like trolling us.
The AFL never do us any favours.
