Melbourne's average attendance numbers are propped up by the other victorian clubs they play against for home games. When Adelaide get 30,000 to their home games, 25 000+ would be Adelaide supporters. When Melbourne get 30 000, the number of Melbourne supportes is probably more like 12 000.
