Why does everyone hate BT

BT is an absolute ripper of a commentator. I'd rather watch a game with him commentating then most other bland commentators these days.

People love criticising commentators on this site... they all cop a pounding/

BT is good. Love to see the triple M team do tv. BT, Brayshaw etc..they r awesome.

Bruce gets pounded on here but he is extremely professional..no one puts in the hours of preparation he does. The others wing it and then get on the gas. Bruce does his homework.

Eddie gets slammed because he hates non victorian teams and barracks instead of commentates. Unprofessional but his passion is brilliant.

u can never please everyone.

No. All three these guys get a pummelled on here for good reason.

BT is easily the worst commentator because of his stupid phrases and tacky showmanship. He always needs to make the broadcast all about himself. He's so bad he actually brings the game down a level. I feel sorry for Richo having to suffer his presence week in week out.

As much as a I love Bruce, he's nowhere near as clued in as he used to be. He once referred to Scotty Thompson (Crows) as a dead-eye despite the fact that he's usually absolutely hopeless with set shots. Also his love affair with certain players is frustrating. Player bias is equally as offensive as team bias.

Eddie rightfully gets slammed because lately he seems to trying to emulate BT's style for loudly yelling bullshit into the microphone. Did you watch the Crows v Blues match? It was laughable. He was barracking for Carlton in the most ridiculous way until the last 5 minutes when it was clearly going to be a Crows win. There's nothing wrong with building up the underdog but he goes way too far to the point it makes you want to switch off the TV.*

*He also blatantly barracked for the Crows when they played the Hawks in 2014 and I remember thinking how irritating that was. No attempt at all to keep an even keel.

It's all just a matter of opinion at the end of the day. In regards to Eddie, that's what I'm saying he barracks for Victorian sides. I watched Crows v Blues and Port v Blues... He was barracking for Carlton in both games and so were the umpires.
 
Just re-watching the Port Pies game and the out and out contempt that Carey has for BT is clear as day. Every time BT mentions something to Carey he would give a single word or very short answer

I like BT, but can't stand Bruuth. Maybe other people enjoy him, but to me it's like I just wanna divorce the bitch yesterday, and every little thing he does annoys me unreasonably.
