It's fun looking into the past.

Let's look at ultimate failures...

3 wooden spoons in 8 years or 2 wooden spoons in 113 years?
Ultimate failure is Collingwood's Latin Motto.

The same reason Collingwood lost 3 times in a row to us. Or maybe the same reason Essendon beat us 4 times in a row during 1981 & 1982, yet we won both premierships.

I suppose you would have us believe you are the equal of Collingwood this season because you have shared the spoils in the 2 games.

From where I sit 11 >>> 8 1/2.
No. The way we've comprehensively destroyed you in recent times suggests more then a mere team having the wood over another team situation. Remember going into more depth last time we played why we would beat you. Predicted a 40-50 point win so underestimated how much better we were then Carlton. Poor on my part:)

Winning 5 flags in 30 years is better than winning 1 in 50 years :D

Do the math !!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it is, but is 30, 40, 50 years really relevent? Can I bring up our 4 grand final wins in a row (the 1920's isn't that long ago!!)? Feel free to live in the past though, I suppose it is better than the present for you guys.

The fact is neither Carlton or Collingwood have won a premiership in the last decade, with Carlton barely featuring in the finals. Carlton have been through their worst era ever, yet you guys still gloat about grand finals?

The old Carlton is nothing like the new - deep down I think you know it. Yet you console yourself with the fact of two more premierships in over 100 years (even though you have won exactly the same as us in recent times).

At the end of the day the Pies not only reward mediocrity but strive for it

At Carlton, we talk about premierships, the ultimate goal. At Collingwood, it's "we've outperformed you in the last decade, or MM outcoached Ratts once out of 4 times"

I think the Pies should be striving for something higher, i.e. Premierships.

Be proud of your history just like we, at Carlton, are.

Ratten's outcoached Malthouse in 3 out of the last 4 games actually. Floodingwoods tactics last time did reek of a little desperation didn't they. Are the Pies the new Crows? :)

I will take a 54 point win any day of the week, using whatever tactics neccesary. Speaking of desperation, Carlton could have used a bit that night.

Flooding or no flooding, Ratten just doesn't have a B plan. Terrible tactical coach.

We are much better than the Crows, but I see you guys struggled against them as well

Those ultraflooding junk tactics will only work in slippery conditions of course. They reeked of a little desperation and fear, which gives the Blues a lot of confidence going into the next game. :)

Yeah, I am sure the Blues would have taken a lot of confidence out of a 54 point hiding

As well as being kept to their lowest score for the year.

They should be supremely confident going in to next game.

thylacine60;15348856 Of course we're not proud. It was such a dreadfully unproductive period for us.[/QUOTE said:
Not sure if they are worth 3 spoons to be honest. They haven't exactly achieved anything.

Murphy and Gibbs were wasted 1st picks. Kreuzer will be special though.

Did you know that Collingwood are sponsored by Emirates airlines, set up by United Arab Emirates (UAE)?

This is a nation that has a very poor human rights record, including child trafficating and slavery and using children as jockeys in horse races.

I don't know what my Collingwood friends on this board think, but the fact that Eddie McGuire does business with such a regime and Collingwood players accept payment from such a regime speaks extremely poorly of the club.

This "winning at all costs attitude" is a disgrace, especially when you don't win

Shame Collingwood, shame

Short memory

Round 8 2009

16.8 (104)
7.11 (53)

You will need this to help you work it out :D
