The holed up Trains didn't stand a chance once the QLD Special Ops arrived.

Bullet Trains, are the trains that run on a network of high-speed railway lines in Japan.

I liken the 3 deceased Trains to Bullet Trains
  • because of what appears to be their suicidal kamikaze intent
  • because they were possibly high or psych'ed out on some speed like substances
  • because of the deadly bullet-fight they started that night.

Locals reporting that Stacey Train had been keeping her head and everything else down for the last 12 reclusive months.

'Wieambilla police shooting: Stacey Train ran from home with firearm'
'December 14, 2022 - 5:00PM'

A schoolteacher and mother-of-two, who along with her husband and brother-in-law ambushed four young police officers, ran from her home with a firearm before being shot by heavily armed specialist officers.

'Locals in the nearby town of Tara, spoke of the “reclusive” nature of the Train family.

A resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said Stacey, a former teacher and Head of Curriculum at Tara Shire State College had not been seen in the quiet town for “at least a year”.

Locals said that while Stacey hadn’t been seen for some time, Nathaniel was often spotted at the Tara FoodWorks.'

That's just the way some people smile. A 'smirk' has devious connotations. No reason for this caption writer to put extra mayo on a story that's already sensational enough.

Well it seems the Trains may have had time to kit up when the Police arrived. The Police honked their horns when they arrived at the property roadside. They waited but there was no movement after honking the horns. After there was no movement from the house, the four officers left their cars and jumped over a locked fence while approaching the property. They would have had to walk a length of the driveway to get closer to the house before they were shot.

4 cops at a standard welfare callout, must have been a very very slow day in an over resourced area.

From what I've read I can't ascertain that the police officers were in the right to enter the property for a standard welfare check but I may be wrong. There has to be more that is not being let out. If not, a simple statement from the owner/occupiers stating the officers to vacate would have sufficed in Qld.

Not sure why the neighbour went to check on the commotion of the gunshots and then fires, he would have heard them and made no call (that is known) to authorities. Perhaps he had no phone? As they say curiosity killed the cat.

The Irony of this is a bloke or 2 hell bent on believing that the port arthur massacre was a false flag to remove guns from the populace ends up doing just that same thing.

Was very little mention of perpetrator 3 in the gunfight that ensued with the police, interesting to know what happened to that one.

Unfortunately it points to a couple of whackjobs with no sane reasoning or something far more sinister to hide, bit Ned Kellyish.

Had 2 cop vehicles come to a rural property I was at once for a firearms related call out (everything was fine just an annoyed neighbour).. it struck me that they sent 2 vehicles, when it's hard pressed to usually find one cop at the local station...

Perhaps if they knew the occupants were gun owners and a bit nutty they thought why not send a few, but they unfortunately under estimated just how nutty they were. They must have had an inclination that something somewhat odd was going on at the house -a welfare check for missing man, at a house owned by the missing man's brother- sounds odd to me already.

According to this WA Anti-vax Cop, there would have been no need to kit up, had the alleged killers not had any access to guns. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️

RE: the bolded - you don't think that they were in camouflage gear and armed, firing upon police as soon as some of them had cleared the front gate, suggest perhaps there was an element of premeditation?

It's not like the cops busted in to the house then they scrabbled to find anything nearby and started shooting.

There's also apparently bodycam footage from all the officers that attended so they'll pretty quickly have a broad sense of what happened.

As an alternative, the whole camo gear thing could be blown way out of proportion. In the wild west of nowhere, it's not that unusual for that to be your everyday getup. They live off-grid, they probably hunt as well. And even if they don't hunt, this is fashionable to them.

As for the readiness of the weapons, if there was no weapons registered at the address, I doubt they're securing them properly either and easily ready to go on the fly.

Police honk at the locked gate (reportedly), they check to see what's going on either via camera or out the window.. They see it's the police and think (wrongfully) that they're there to arrest them for unknown crimes. Then from there it is fight or flight type mentality and they choose fight by firing at the sitting ducks from inside their home.

You may be right though, I'm just throwing out other potential scenarios.

The 2 children (reported to be of Gareth and Stacey) are assumed to be of adult age now.

The Guardian has now claimed that the 2 children are Nathaniel's and Stacey's, not Gareth's and Stacey's.
And that Nathaniel and Stacey married in their late teens, with Gareth subsequently committing adultery with Stacey.
With the Train brother's father's church they were involved with, being described as an independent evangelical one.

'Queensland shooting: Stacey Train left first husband Nathaniel to pursue relationship with his brother Gareth, relatives say

New relationship caused rift in the family, including with father who was pastor at a conservative independent church'

'Wed 14 Dec 2022 15.49 AEDT'

The brothers behind the Wieambilla shooting that killed two police officers and a neighbour had previously fallen out after one began a relationship with the other’s wife, relatives say.

Guardian Australia has confirmed that Gareth Train’s wife, Stacey, previously married his brother Nathaniel when they were in their late teens in September 1995. All three were killed by tactical police on Monday.

Family members say Nathaniel and Stacey were high school sweethearts in Toowoomba, where both were involved in the independent evangelical church run by the brothers’ father, pastor Ronald A Train.

A few years into their marriage – after the birth of two children - Stacey is understood to have left Nathaniel to pursue a relationship with Gareth. The new relationship created a rift within the broader family, including between the brothers and their ultraconservative father, whose church had strict views on marriage.'

I feel bad for the neighbour Alan Dare, who seems to have been forgotten about in this sorry saga.

Seems he spotted the fire and went across with the best of neighbourly intentions to check everything was okay.
Sounds like the killers were on ice or something similar to go from school teachers or principals to this type of craziness.

The whole thing is just horrible.
Reminds me as a kid of the Hoddle Street shootings that I was too young to understand or remember what went on. But it just seemed something out of horrific movie and for it to be real life it just makes you ask how and why did this happen and do not think there will ever be an answer as it sounds like they were out of their minds and not thinking normally.

Sad interview with Kerry Dare in this link, of course she's distressed

How her husband's death unfolded

Kerry recalled hearing gunshots from their property in Wieambilla on Monday evening but added gunshots "are not unusual around here".

She said she and her husband became worried when smoke appeared.

"After the gunshots, there was a lot of black smoke and explosions and we presumed that there was a house on fire and that it was close," Kerry said

Alan decided to meet up with another neighbour to go and investigate.

When he left their driveway, it was the last time she saw her husband alive.

"I was on the phone to triple zero and they told me that there was an incident that they had a job on," Kerry said.

She said the operator on the phone then told her to tell her husband not to go next door.

But by that stage, it was too late.

She shouldn’t be blaming the cops, she should be blaming the people that murdered her partner

Was never really missing was he. Not sure how nsw police thought he was.

She might not be thinking straight yet and that interview is probably heavily edited.

I read it first in the Daily Mail earlier today, and then again in the below

The 2 children (reported to be of Gareth and Stacey) are assumed to be of adult age now.

'Before the murderous trio moved to Wieambilla, the three of them owned a four-bedroom home together in Millstream, about 150km south-west of Cairns in far North Queensland, which they sold in 2009.

A neighbour from their Millstream days told Daily Mail Australia paints a very different picture from the Trains' reputation at school, describing them as 'paranoid' and aggressive' people, who didn't want any attention.

The property, owned by Gareth, who spoke of prepping his home for an apocalypse, and his wife Stacey was well off the grid, had extensive solar panels and water tanks.

'They just weren't nice people and showed the potential for just this sort of thing even way back then,' he said.

'They had barbed wire and gates and fences around the property too - that’s normal on rural properties like these, but they had surveillance cameras and spotlights and things like that which was a bit out of the ordinary back then.'

He said Stacey and Gareth lived on the property full time, and Nathaniel would stay there on the weekends.

’They had children who would be in the 20s now - they obviously don’t live with their parents any more though,' the former neighbour added.'

You can see the bodies of 2 of the shooters in that image. Looks like they've been drawn out the house and shot dead as they're both at the base of the steps.
