We’re assuming Sydney does Geelong in in a reversal of 2022 in this hypothetical right? There’ll be no Hawkins to ruck **** the Swans at forward stoppages, Heeney will be playing midfield, Smith & Hawkins kicked 4 of the first 5 onslaught goals.

Tbh with how most teams have been real susceptible to a bad game & Sydney has kicked high numbers of goals in quarters against all teams bar a couple of bottom dwellers, I suspect we could have a grand final that is not much for the ages regardless.

Personally think on track to have Sydney v Brisbane be the best match up for competitive reasons

It was also one of the lowest TV ratings for a Grand Final in history. Partly due to the one-sided margin, but more to do with the fact that there was no one for neutrals to support. Everyone was sick to death of both teams, and that was back in 2022. Imagine if they met yet again in 2024. Would be a disastrous Grand Final match-up. Absolutely horrible.

A daytime Grand Final in the lowest rating 2pm timeslot featuring a rematch of two clubs everyone is sick of which was a failed TV event in 2022. Hell, I'd probably prefer Carlton in it, and that's saying something.

Yep. People talking straight sets are kidding themselves. Better chance of slipping to an elimination final and losing that than straight sets.
