The Lions have verbally agreed with Richmond to trade in out-of-contract Tigers defender Andrew Raines. In return, Richmond will receive a third-round pick from Brisbane.

There's that language again that someone (TBD?) pointed out. "A" third round draft pick...not "their" 3rd round draft pick. It may be nothing, but it does seem deliberately worded.

I'd like to play for the Brisbane Lions and I would be more than happy to relocate to Brisbane. I played for Trinity Grammar seconds as a school boy and had a run in the seconds at Camperdown about twenty years ago. Do you think the Lions might select me if I nominated for the draft? Im sure with a pre-season and a decent coach I could resurrect my career. I think I am worth a punt.

Never judge a player because he's not getting a game at a bottom four team. I'm not sure how Port were going at the time, but Patfull's been a real asset and he got dropped from their rookie list.

Not sure he was playing in their seconds but I'm fairly certain he got a regular gig in the Coburg seniors.

The last time I played a proper game of footy was in primary school - I wonder if they'll take me in now I also played cricket in PS so I wonder if the West Indies will have a spot for me on their team for the upcoming tour

Suggests to me that he has had a falling out with Tigers big time. To come second in a B&F suggest that he is a better player than the Coburg seconds squad.

Looks like a ball carrier...lets stick him on ball and see how far he can actually carry it.
