except the train started in 1984, the SANFL registered the CLub in 1986 and the AFL used Port to get what they actually wanted, which was a SA version of West Coast which was meant to happen for the 1987 season. That was there play, how to manipulate it. Port were always he pawn, the second cousin hey wooed to get the big boys.

history now shows that the SANFL should have done what WA did and created a second composite side to make long term prospect rather than another minnow club that will struggle off and on field their entire careers constantly drawing speculation of how and when they should fold and what a failed concept they are.

well it can be argued that they were born in 1986 4 years before the courthouse. Much like it can be proveen that the Power were born in 1996 when they created a new company named it the Port Adelaide Power FC, renamed the PAFC the PAMFC leaving the SANFL Club as the one and only true PAFC and claiming all the SANFL history and achievements. Then to hide the fact they tried to undo the Port Power branding and then merged the 2 clubs to give the perception that the Power are now really the real deal.

But back to your original questions you don't know much about the VFL/VFA days and how some of those CLubs formed, got to where they are etc etc do you?

Not painful at all, some of the greatest moments in history have occurred in courthouses. This was another one and despite the humble beginnings in an ATCO hut outside Footy Park, we have grown into a successful, professional and respected club.

Port on the other hand have gone from respected in the SANFL to a laughing stock in the AFL. All the history in the world can't change that. Even your Captain and your reigning B&F refer to your club as Port Power.

As much as we may have been born in a courthouse, your deceitful club was squashed like a fly in the courthouse. We have evolved since that day, your club has continued o slide down the toilet. Go and read the thoughts on your own board and you'll see that they mostly agree that your club is in dire straits.

We now have one of the best club and supporter facilities in the AFL. We didn't even have to bend over to Alan Scott, then abuse our major sponsor as a thank you for his tainted money.
