Mark Williams has been eliminated from the race for the Coleman Medal, with the unorthodox Hawthorn full-forward having knee surgery that will end his season.

Williams will have surgery to his injured left knee today, finishing his season with three rounds to go and enhancing the prospects of Fraser Gehrig winning his second consecutive Coleman Medal.

west coast game and they still played him in brissy but he was still sore and it kept him goaless
