I dont no a side called Brimackabeal so dont really no anything about that so called team of your fancy

Many going to watch the WFL this w/e? Who will be the players to watch? Will any of our youngsters do well? Theres been a few beltings in the CMFL, some big scores too. I reckon they might be pretty handy on Saturday. It's a pity we wont have the best players in the league to represent us, but i suppose it will be the same story for the visitors, seems hard to attract the quality players to these games.

what a shame to see the 'almighty Wimmera Football League' go down yesterday! maybe you're not the best league in the world like some of your supporters think you are!

Mate i reckon we have a team of WFL players who weren't playing that would beat the one we had on the field Saturday. CMFL should have won by more if they could kick straight. The U18's match was more exciting than the ones.

i think most of the leagues in contry vics top 22 would be fairly even the thing that sets the leagues apart is the depth. mayby they could pick the worst 22 players playing senior footy in each league then i think the wimmera would beat a lot of leagues

Stawell are a disgrace ..

They we're meant too be the big improvers this year , they have had 1 win all year and sitting 2nd last on the ladder ..

A lot of older people at the club are starting too ask questions

Tough round for tipping. Horsham over the Diggers by a lot. I will go for the Diggers not to kick more than three goals and for Parish to kick 12.

Saints to account for Stawell.

Will take the Eagles over the Roos where most won’t. Eagles are a determined bunch and have their season on the line. Dimboola have had the double rest with bye then inter league and I’m not sure if that’s helpful. Pure will to get Brimackabeal over the line under the gums.

Will take Ararat over the Zero Tigers. Everyone underrates the Rodents list and their coach.
Good win by the Rats over Nhill, How did the past players function go ?

Anyone from Stawell see the hit on Harry Denson after the half time siren.
From what i've heard, he took a mark and the siren went so he lapsed in concentration before copping an forearm-elbow shot to the chest.
That is why the ambo's were called during the half time break.
A bit of a cheap shot from all reports !!
And to add to this....the ambo wasn't able to drive back to hospital as he had finished his shift. Thats why the ambo was parked at city oval for so long. In the end a trainer for Saints, who is also a copper, drove the ambo back to the hospital. If this is right, it need to be seriously addressed as there would be a number of footy/netball game being played in the area and if a serious injury was to occur, therre could be dire consequences.

Why did Broadhurst not play?? Is it because he wasn't happy with the list if rules set out by Driscoll after his appearance last week.
Behave and tow the line or stay in S.A !!!
Welcome back Dave. I had heard you had given Big Footy the flick!;)

Some very good points you raise, I'm tipping you would have seen more than what you heard!;) The ambos issue is a political issue at the moment, best take this one up with your mate Hugh.:p

What's this Brodhurst/Driscoll stuff you are on about?

Sorry you may have missed me. I just dont think its worth writing dribble on here like some others..
Jenkins ??? if that is who it was, is going to be investigated by the league.
The umpy will also be in strife as he saw the incident and asked the Stawell player to appologise to Denson.
In relation to Broadhurst, even the coach is shying away from answering questions about it.. There has definately been a discussion between the two of them. There seems to be disharmony at that fact that the club have not recruited well this year after losing some quality.

Stawell 60 points over Diggers
Saints 80 points over Roos
Tiggers by 55 points over Burras
Horsham by 30 points over Rats

A few injury concerns down at the empire this week > Burke (heel), Anson (hammy), Hartigan (knee), Geue (shoulder), Durack (ankle), Arnel (general baldness), plus a few kids on possible Rebels duty might make for a more even contest this week...maybe?

On the money pussy i heard parish out for 4-6, kerr (groin), Barnett still a ?, farr will play, would not be suprised if the young rats won this one and the saints next week could do the same with the injuries at the empire although the kids have performed because when u get ya chance you have to make the most of it....cleche.

Ararat Rats will also be considerably weakened from last week with 3 key backmen in Thompson, Harricks and Spalding all missing along with forward focal point Mick Fratin.

All set for the big clash next weekend - Demons v Saints. Both have been by far the standout sides of the first half of the year. Injury concerns in both camps failed to hurt eithers ability to dispose of their opponents on the weekend by 115 and 113 points respectively.
