Before we talk about dropping him how about we move him back to the position where he was so good last year?

Baffling that with Rockliff and SPP out and his poor form he's still been anchored to the goalsquare.

Chad loves the glory. Nothing wrong with that. He might be able to 20 and 2 weekly from the middle, but I wonder if he'd rather being 15 and 3 from the forwardline, and has had his hunger and spark coached out of him.

What is noticeable is his defensive efforts and team stuff is dropping off massively. I believe that while these appear as selfless acts, they can be selfish in motivation. Lay a tackle, get a free. Make a bump, spill the ball, get the ball. If you aren't loving your footy these are the hardest things to do.

Play him in the ****ing middle. Make him work. This deep forward shit is not working.

I was saying this all off season and nobody wanted a bar of it.

The system we play is different from the way we played back when Chad was an AA forward. We aim for a crowded front half and play for stoppages in our forward 50. This creates lots of contested situations and makes it difficult for our forwards to find space. What's Chads biggest weakness? The physical contest. So don't play him there. Play him in the middle. I noticed we put him in the middle for the last 15 minutes or so and he won a few clearances. Too little, too late.

Surprised we didn't do that more often considering we had Thomas, Neade, Motlop, Sam Gray, Amon and Boak all able to go forward.

Looks to be labouring hard, not sure if he’s running himself ragged or there’s lead in his boots. 90% TOG for 14 disposals just isn’t good enough. Seems frustrated.

He went from a 50 a year goal scorer, to 35 and below the past couple, with inaccuracy getting worse.

I think he needs a bit of pressure applied. Putting trade pressure on him isnt the worse idea

I agree with those who are suggesting Wingard looks disinterested, but he isn't the only player who looks disinterested/confused/or even crapped off at times, maybe the slow meandering cross country game plan has something to do with it, it is as boring as bat sh*t to watch and I have no doubt it's just as f****** boring to play.

He looks completely uninspired. That’s the word that feels right for me. How the **** can you blame him playing in this team/forward line? He’s had everything that made him great completely sucked out of him with our lock the ball in/win the territory battle/ 4 marks inside 50 bullshit. He has zero spark, but why would he now?

Yes, let's threaten him with a trade off to Hawthorn or Geelong or GWS, where he can be a superstar and win premierships. That'll show him!

Imagine Chad in a system that works. Sheesh!
Imagine Chad where he had space to work and a system at all like you said.

He's been shocking the past few weeks, he isn't alone but it seems we have a gameplan that has negated any of Chad's strengths. Skillful players need space up forward, or the freedom on the ball, at full forward he gets none and I'm certain he's playing to instruction when he's there to drag someone deep in defence and stay there. So either drop him to the Maggies or play him on the ball. Chad next to Ollie and Ebo, or SPP and Ollie, Rocky and Ollie etc the system would be built for him. The bulls clear the way Chad can do what he's built for.

But hey that's obvious so Kenny will never do it.
