Not really. It cuts out the middle men if the homeless take that money directly.
Not sure what ’charity’ the collection was for, but I’d be surprised if the CEO is earning less than 6 figures.
Most of these charities are a scam, as most of the money often goes towards inflated executive wages.

Yes. The cops have gone to the trouble of making this video about a theft of some small change from their unoccupied front desk, when they would never go to this trouble for any of us if we lost, say, a car.
Pretending this doesn't look even worse when it's someone with all their possessions in a plastic bag is stupid.

Twitter is rightly telling them to **** off from trying this on with a poor and powerless person committing a small crime of opportunity against them, when they wouldn't do the same for a major crime against one of us by organised car thieves.

There is a reason they call it a “cop shop”. It’s not there for emergencies, it’s primarily admin.

Why was it unattended? How long is the video? He had waited literally seconds until he had this impulse.
They have posted the video because it’s theirs to post and the act was weirdly brazen and unethical.
What’s it like living in opposite land where people who steal from charities are victims and the people who try to catch them are baddies?

The AFL has now clarified that they have no issue with Israeli flags being shown at matches. The issue is muddled in that Harry Sheezel is Australian born not Israeli. But the Israeli flag is associated with Jewishness, in particular Zionism.
Hardly crime of the century but the bloke looked like a lot like a meth head and nothing is too low for them.
Surely anyone that really needs food to eat could just hone their craft slipping stuff through the self serve checkouts.
Plus stealing from a prick on an organisation like Woolworths is a victimless crime like punching someone in the dark

I stopped paying attention after an article or two because it seemed like a media, anti-woke beatup. AFL Security official gets their stance wrong in an email to a fan. Email is made public (not by AFL), storm artificially created. AFL comes out and corrects that, never made a public statement that flags were a problem, nor took any action.
Should be a nothing story. I can see why people criticise Israeli government actions, including those who put them in power, but the flag has at least some reasonable connection to Sheezel's ethnicity which had been the subject of racism, the fan was Jewish, Sheezel appreciated it.
Either ban all, or ban none, is my view.
