The depth of the women’s cricket will start putting pressure on Perry if she doesn’t recapture something

She scored a century for Aus just 5 matches ago

Pez also had a pretty good WBBL - 424 runs, ave of 53 & high score of 86

She's had a couple of low scores in very recent matches but she hasn't been out of form for an extended period

Gardner is definitely better then the mid 20s average indicates

Wonder how much her average is impacted by her being seen as something of a finisher - so she comes in lower and is looked at to get those late innings runs at a good rate

She's definitely better than someone coming in just from the 40th over with the instructions to south slog, but it's how she can adjust her game to come in a bit earlier and build an innings

Awful shot there by Healy, no need.
Even if she got bat on ball, it was going to be more of a defensive effort rather than attacking shot

All we need to do is play sensible

It's 2 points for a win - not like there's a bonus point for chasing down the total inside 40 overs

They should have a bonus point, make it more interesting

McGrath's form is a worry.

Agree - she was originally selected as an all-rounder but hasn't really been bowling a lot for Aus lately, and from her last 6 international innings, she's only twice scored above 30. I know not every match presents the opportunity to go on with it, but she def had the chances in a couple of matches to do so

Then looking at her WBBL form and it's not great reading. The basics say:
- 9 innings, 222 runs at an average of 31.71 with a high score of 64
Then you break it down,
  • 113 of those runs came against the Gades & 51 in the Strikers first match against Brisbane; so 164 of her 222 runs in 3 innings
  • She scored 58 runs in her remaining 6 innings at an average of less than 10, and 4 of those innings were single digit scores

If she wasn't VC would she be under more pressure?

Georgia Voll is in supreme format atm.

So it will be interesting what they do.

Voll just may have to wait until results dictate change

She is a top order batsmen, she’s crap down the order
She has been moved down the order because her form has been poor. In fact, it is so bad she now comes in after Gardner and her form wasn't great until she turned it around in the final match against India (IIRC).
