Yikes at the boundary ropes being brought in at the Adelaide Oval! Looks like about a 70% hit compared to the mens for a boundary tonight. Although the square boundaries look about the same for a mens match. Cant see a low scoring game here.
That boundary by Beth Mooney down the ground , case in point. That was hit half heartedly and still got 4.

It was interesting watching our two batsmen during that boundary & their running between wickets

I know Voll had to delay her first run a bit to ensure the ball got past the stumps, but by the time Voll was preparing to tap her bat for the second run, Mooney was 2/3rds down the wicket on a third

We've spoken about potential fitness issues within the English camp, but Voll looks like she may have something to work on to have a sustained career at the top level

Batters, they’re women not men

Sorry

Batters just sounds weird description as it makes me think of something to dip fish in before deep frying 😂
Just being pedantic it’s taken me a long time to wrap my head around the word batters. It’s not like we call the bowlsmen and bowlswomen

Without much of a second thought we say fielders or bowlers, but when it comes to the batting side of things there's definitely those who frown upon the use of batters as somehow not being grammatically correct

But we should be ok with using batters as a more gender neutral term

England's fielding is bad. That's a major reason they are down 5 games to nil or whatever the points are 10-0?

They have had their moments. Should have won in Melbourne, had Aus 4 for bugger all in Hobart let them get to 300 plus. Stuffed the chase in the rain in Canberra.

LOL at the coaches fitness comments too.

Try again in 4 years.
