Apart from a strong midfield, no one rated our list in 2005/2006. We heard countless times remarks such as "You won't win a cup with that forward line".

Fact is, Worsfold still managed to build our list to a point where it was a flag contender. He made do with what he had. Sure, his tactical side of coaching isn't always the best, but lets not forget his dismantling of a rampaging Adelaide side labelled the "Crowbots" midway through 2006.

Even so, if we had Judd back and no salary cup, we probably wouldn't be in this situation. Hell, even Fremantle would be throwing money at players over East to join their group.

I think many were bitter about juddy leaving but now not so much. Kennedy and Masten have been pretty good. I'm sure woosh was talking a bit tongue in cheek?

Draft system sucks balls... I'm sort of dreading what to expect from this derby. If we were both sitting around 9th and 10th we'd be froffing at the mouth in anticipation.

From what I saw Woosh was asked how a side could fall from premier to struggler in 2yrs. Woosh said give us Judd back and we wouldnt be in this position.

He was talking tongue in cheek more than anything. But he also makes a valid point, you cant plan for the best player in the game walking out on you. There is nothing you can do help the situation and it takes alot of wind out of a club to lose such an influential player.

Maybe he was making excuses but it is an honest explanation and as I said very tongue in cheek.

I know you wouldnt realise it watching him on the box but he puts up a big facade in front of the journos because he thinks most of them are idiots.
