Worst Kick in the AFL

Thought, I would start a thread that is a change of pace from our recent discussions.

I have watched lots of footy over the years, and unfortunately witnessed many poor or deplorable kicks of the footy.

And, I don't rate the kicking skills of the current group of players - Think over 50% are poor kicks.

Thought, I would nominate the worst kick in the AFL.

Thought for the purposes of the exercise - that we need to consider a regular senior player with at least 30 games experience.

My nomination

Eric McKenzie of the WC.

jobe rofl he cant kick!!1!!

well you clearly didnt watch much footy this year. his kicking has got better drastically in recent times, still not an awsome kick, but far from bad. in fact i was most confident with our set shots when he was taking them, 10.1 his tally for the year

James Manson had a very awkward kicking style, but was a pretty straight kick.....
Alan Toovey sends shivers down my spine sometimes when he decides to kick the footy..........

are we talking about current players? take your pick from west coast and from us. hmm i i'll get massacred here but I call Andrew Welsh and Sam lonergan the jam tin brothers...

Prismall from us aint great either but then you have masten, palmer, T. Cloke and is it T.Murphy from hawthorn...

Players from yesteryear, J. reynolds, Ben Doolan (shudders), M Symons who had to have a Shoaib Akthar run up to kick it 30 metres, richo from less the 30 meres out of goal, tony Shaw another jam tin, plus everyone that ever played for richmond.

Forgot about him.

End thread.:thumbsu:

Yeah, Nick Gill was terrible. But i had the misfortune of seeing him DOMINATE against us at etihad in '08. He kicked 5! Was sitting with Crows supporter mates who had come over from SA especially. They were in hysterics that any team would be crap enough to allow Gill to kick 5. It was hard to argue. Lowlight was Laycock proving what a complete unco he was right in front of us.. Went up for a ruck contest, missed everything, legs went out from under him, landed on his back and nearly KO'd himself, and had to go off. Without even touching anyone else or the ball. If he didnt play for us, i would have been in hysterics. Plenty were.

My only highlight and recourse for the day was bringing up the '93 prelim, got the older Crows supporters around me fairly antsy....
