Late pick. Wouldn't mind...

Sure - he'd be worth taking a serious look at. Especially if we're talking a rookie selection.

I would, late pick or rookie pick if available. If he was on the straight and narrow he's got too good a pedigree not to be an absolute dud.

I would also like to see us do it as a sign we aren't just going for the 'right type of person' choir boy types.

Yes! Showed LOTS of promise at Hawthorn even though he was a stoner. Could be a great player if straight, even as the tagger that we need.

What are the GWS rules? They will probably take him.

I'd use a 3rd round pick (Maric pick) if there's not much depth in the draft.

Worth a shot but who would drop out of our best 22 for him?
I'd rookie list him as back up in case we get a serious injury.

I would actually like to see the club take a risk on a player like Tuck rather than putting up walls because he has had past issues and trying to have the perfect image all the time.

How olds James Allan and how does he fit our needs? Guy seems to get a ton of it...

Would rather re-visit the Darren Pfeiffer case myself

You are an astute judge S18. Pfeiffer has been doing well with the Legs the last 2 months, and in his own words "has matured". Has lost nothing that won him a spot on our list first time around, and has hopefully moved past most that cost him that spot. New regime and clean sheet, he is one I would be interviewing at length right now. Would the club take such a risk?

The way I see it, there is not much risk. He has either matured, or he hasn't. If he has, there is absolutely no doubt he has genuine AFL talent. Pfeiffer's failures as an AFL footballer have nothing to do with his football ability but his immaturity issues. If he has smartened up and realised what he has thrown away, then he is going to play AFL next year.

The beauty in all this is that the club would have a direct line to Bassett to find out first hand of Pfeiffer is worth picking up or not.

Same here.

You'd think from all the fapping going on in this thread that Tuck had actually been a good footballer when he was at Hawthorn. A strange case of "the older he gets the better he was"?
Good to see that your ability to judge football prowess is consistent across all the clubs.

We are talking about Travis Tuck, not Sam Mitchell or someone like that?

The guy's played 20 games in his career, kicked a grand total of 1 goal, averages 18.6 disposals. Why are people getting so excited about him? He's only done 2 things of note in his entire career - firstly, he happened to be the son of Hawthorn legend Michael Tuck (an accident of birth, nothing more); secondly, he became the only player to ever get rubbed out for having 3-strikes under the AFL's drug use policy. Neither of those noteworthy things had anything to do with his playing ability, which was no better than at least 35 players already on our team list.

Astute comment as always, young Stiffmeister. :thumbsu:

I'm sure that Bassett would give us the inside info on Pfeiffer or any other likely prospect from Norwood.

I'm on both bandwagons  I'd like to see us through at least two late picks at mature-aged players and Tuck/Pfeiffer seem as good as any.

Vader - Tuck's impact isn't measured by disposals alone. He's a big body, a hard inside-ball winner and a clearance player, we could definitely use that at the Crows.
