The thing is some of the people posting on here aren’t even from Sunshine, more people were happy to see Albion lose that Sunshine win.. Good on them, they set themselves a goal to get out of 2nd division and they have on their own merit. Watch a bit of the under 18’s they have some good kids coming up too..

Hopefully their u18s are also in Div one next year, will make alignment with the seniors much easier

U18Div2 is a Mickey Mouse comp. Playing mainly against other clubs 2nd side. Don’t get too carried away Kangas.
That’s easy to say but just looking back they didn’t have 18’s 4 years ago for a few years..you can only play where the league put you. Good on the club, a few years back they were on the mat, this year they had 3 teams that made grand finals (3rds lost by 1 point.) good on them. That’s a lot of work behind the scenes, and I believe they had great numbers in their senior ranks.
Suburban footy is a tough gig for volunteers, footballers come and go asking for ludicrous amounts of cash to play!! For Sunshine to have 4 wins on Grand Final Day is a reward for everyone from the club!!

They had a thirds team in the RDFL not that long ago as well

Don't think it is a conscious decision by Eynesbury to move to the WFNL by entering a team in its 3rds comp.

Simply think the WFNL took over the 3rds comp run by the RDFL because nearly all of the teams are now WFNL clubs.

Seeing the same at West Footscray really good numbers of juniors coming through. Good to see these inner west clubs rebounding after a few were struggling.

Bachar Houli signs with Newport

Ummm I’m hearing otherwise buddy on Bachar. Might try and play a handful of games where time permits..
My contacts are saying he is commited and wants to play as many games as possible. Great bloke on and off the park and a great mentor to the super talented kids they have at the club.

Not disputing is a great mentor to these boys but just think it’s purely a publicity stunt as he won’t many games if at all.

Also how has the league allowed newport to move to division 1 without even making a GF. Not a great advertisement for the competition looking in from outside. Just hope they stay disciplined in this division especially during difficult times of losses. On field and off field..Huge risk by the WRFL that might pay off but might also see it fall off the cliff as a league. Interesting times ahead..

Gee you love potting Newport. Ever actually met some of the people there? Can guarantee there are as many great people as any other club. And as many clowns as well. Its a different culture to most but its still a footy club.

Bachar will contribute more than he will ever owe to them next year and beyond. The club will surprise more than you think.
