Re: WRFL Div. 2 Season 2008 and Beyond

Is there any truth to the rumour that North Footscray tried to lure Michael Kennedy from Laverton to go there? Apparently he told them he would never play at there club and cant wait to beat them by 10 goals next year.

dont think they were the only club trying to get him, im pretty sure every other club would have had a crack, the kid can play, credit to him for not chasing the cash and sticking with the magpies:thumbsu:

hey midget your meant to be an assistant coach why aren't you taking trainning? who's the muppet? you and red devil have both called me a muppet yet haven't answered one question asked, either you know im right or your intelligence matches your height im sure north are happy with what you brought to them this year ha ha ha ha ha ha I guess you going to go to whom ever wins the next premierships after party too instead of you own?

dont talk abount intelligence with me goose you dont even have the balls to tell people who you are where your from.. if you want to pot blokes let them know who you are you soft piece of s**t

im not taking training for the same reason that colts dont train before christmas and a lot of div 1 clubs dont train before christmas. becuase its junk training and we know our guys are doing there own training and pre cristmas training is pointless work load when you will have 3 weeks off over the break... anyone that knows anything about training will tell you that you f*** idiot. our boys to there credit have organized to do some of there own training together.. we have a few training at werribee and other boys are doing there own training as they know there bodies much better than we do. we have made reccomendations to most people what they need to work on and in late Jan i will take pre season again and we will smash it.

as for visiting the premiers rooms i have known and played against those boys for a long time and it takes balls to walk into a opponents teams rooms that beat you in a grand final goose.. i would like to see you do it! harder than you think!

Hey clown, North Footscrays drinks had wound up and i invited Mint down for a drink as he is a good mate and a good bloke. He came for an hour which was admired by myself and he was accepted by the boys as yes it take a bit of courage to do so. In days gone by people with a bit of age and those that were not so obsessed with their own bubble and self importance had drinks with the opposition often. It actually addds to the enjoyment that football brings. So if your going to bag bloke do it with good reason and be brave enough to let us know who you are. Otherwisw piss off.

i agree with u TD it was great to see mint in the rooms afterwards shows a bit of respect between the 2 teams, and i wish North luck next season. Hey Mint who are ur blokes down at werribee?

It was good to see the 'respect' when Heights won the GF and North didn't even stay on the ground while the trophy/medals were given to Heights. There would only be 2 players capable of training at werribee from North and they would be Number 20 & 21.

On another note is this the forum for the Muppet Show or footy as it seems alot of people on here a getting called muppets.

i thought we did stay out until the best player was awarded and player medals were awarded .. i may be wrong.. it was not of lack of respect if we didnt believe me.. as you may or may not know after loosing a grand final in the fashion we did i dont think anyone wanted to be on that turf anymore.

as for the werribee training or any other vfl clubs.. anyone can go down and do a pre-season with a vfl club to improve fitness or skills.. however sometimes they are invited to come have a run aswell...

Fair enough mint, but I think most if not all players had left the field before the presentations had started. Respect in this instance is acknowledging the loss to a better opponent and being out there congratulate them on this.

Wouldn't it have been better for the players to witness the opposition receive and celebrate what winning the flag meant to them and use this as motivation to go one better next season.

On the vfl training front I think you are right in regards to any one being able to train as I have had some mates who have bragged about training down at Willi and Coburg and always wearing the merchandise yet are very average footballers at best.

Geez the boys down at Lavo get pretty confident considering they haven't made a finals series for years.:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

It would be great to see them in a finals series! definatley the most improved side in the comp last season but as anyone would know they cant rest on that they need to keep building and from all reports that is what they are doing.. dont forget that every other club is out there trying to do the same thing as well...

Mate I am 100% sure it was the first thing that was pointed out to me while North were leaving the field, I think it was from a few Heights fans. Maybe you were the only player on the field when they received the cup but that was it. R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

It is always good to see Albanvale choke in the big ones. They talk themselves up and as we say "Choke".
In other news, the new captain at cole reserve is tipped to be J.Cali. He has indicated if he does not get it he will walk.

A bit ahead of yourself Colecat ........ pre-season starts tonight and whilst Joe maybe a candidate no decision will be made pre-christmas, and it is not in Joe's style to make such statements .....you obviously don't know the guy....perhaps your one of the departed ??

Re: WRFL Div. 2 Season 2008 and Beyond

Mate i play cricket with Adam and am good mates with him so i dont know where ur getting yours!

Unit, I have excellent and very credible information sources. I believe that Adam would like to move due to being closer to home and for the money. But as such no deal has been completed, and therefore I would say that he has not left.

Clearances do not open until Feb 2009 and there is a lot of time between now and then.

Cheers
