sedat sir has brought down 4 greenvale players with him and all have been training. one has already signed and the other 3 are not far away from signing , 2 of them plus sedat played in last years edfl grand final

hey boys lets get fair denkem, theres no way u can say alabnavale are fav this year, champ we havnt ernt that crown nth footscray are bye far te team to beat, we may have picked up a few players but tell we start winning big games we will be probly 2nd or 3rd fav..

as for ppl saying albanvale always choke in finals well as long as i can remember there has only been 1 year where we were actually good enough to win the flag, that was the year altona won there first flag, we beat em 3 times that year and deerpark knocked us off in the prelim. thats the only year i think our side was actually the best side in the comp. the last 3 or 4 years we have finished were we probly deserve to finish.

mmmmmmmmmmm we all remember that..........

laverton is the team to beat in 09, We have recruited very well with 4 senior players coming from Glenorden, 2 from Altona and 3 from Werribe Ametures. These boys have been training for the last 3 weeks and are putting pen to paper by as early as next week. Also our under 18 are coming along nicely and are pushing for senior selections. If all these blokes signing up we will beat North easily and Albanvale easily. Watch out for the Laverton Magpies in 2009.

Who are the blokes from Altona???

just had dinner with a couple of parkside boys and there were 2 ex parkside premiership players that were there and both very keen on playing this year. both want to help parkside get back in divy 1 and play one last year with there brothers.

so what happens if you get back into div1? do all the boys who come back take off again?

Sounds very promising for Parkside, any players from Greenvales A grade team of last year would dominate(they would demand some serious coin too) Div 2 football as the drop from EDFL Div 1 to WRFL Div 2 is like a million miles.

Its all speculation at this stage, but i still think Albanvale are the team to beat with Nth and Parkside very close by.

Lets not forget Albanvale had a good solid team last year and with the inclussion of some skillfull young good footballers they will be very hard to beat and much imrproved under Ace.

Nth Footscray are always up there and i expect no diffrence this season.

Parkside have a lot of work to do as there where an ordinary team last season but with the Adition of Sir, Lika and Kavarais will be much improved. I have the upmost respect for some of the older players at Parkside but Sami Sir and Ahmed Taleb must be getting on in age these days and no matter how good you where age caatches up with the best of players.

Its still ordianry football Div 2 but it is still a young mans game and that my only concern with Parkside is there speed across the ground and a lot of there recruits seem to be on the wrong side of 30(not to say u cant still play great football in your 30's).

Sami Sir was a champion a better player than Sedat in my opinion an abosulete beast and a champion player.

Would be suprised if he was in condition to play football tho but its sounds like Parkside are doing everything they can to improve in 09 which is a good thing for the comp and the standard of Div 2 football.

Cain are you aware that this is Willies (Ace) third year at Albanvale, surely most of his impact would have happened by now, I agree with you in regard to his football knowledge but I think our improvement will come mostly from our recruits

Totally Agree. :thumbsu:

tell nathan to get a kick against a good side and put his head over the ball last year i watched the coburg v parkside final and seen him pull out of a contest a couple of times so as a coach it must be hard for him to tell blokes to go hard when he wont go hard himself he's soft as and always has been a known front runner back in the a grade it was the same story never got a kick in a big game [colts, spotty] or a top five side or any final he has played in including grand finals just a passenger.B grade is terrible if you could play you would be in A grade and i just dont get all the dills on here rapping up the 2 division it's SHIT like the duds that play in it.and to round it off cain m your a thief.

very interesting what do the parkside boys think about that

he is down at the calder cannons doin a pre-season so if he doesnt
get a game down there he should be in parksides 22. will be insteresting
to see how he goes this year with no senior football experience apart
from a couple of kick arounds in the ressies last year.

Good young footballer, his old man was a former FDFL superstar for Kensignton know as a strong hard ruckman.

i think that post is a joke.
everyone knows he didnt play good in the grand final.
and is looking 4ward 2 getting the chance 2 redeem his self.
but other than that has been a champion player in the wrfl.
playing under him and along side of him i would do anything 4 the bloke as i know he wld do it 4 me

No point spending much time commenting on shit posts. Nath won the BnF in 2009 and played his best footy in the two finals we played last year. He has HUGE respect from the playing group and has made a significant improvement to the Parkside culture in the past 9 months since appointed coach.

What a combination Nippa +Sparra steam rolling
there way through the opposition, plus Bull Sir out of the
pocket and spence in the middle it will be like the Parkside
of Old:D:thumbsu:

I agree, Nathan at his best and fit is an elite park footballer. Like any footballer can have a bad day and should not be judged on one performance.

He needs to get fit again as he doesent look like the same player he once was running around in Div 1.

Have any of the above been training and if so are they in a resonsiable condition?

They where gun players in there prime, but the must be getting on in age and no doubt the would still be good Div 2 players but there best football would be well and truely behind them.

hopefully hes not umpireing this year or that he doesnt cheat coz the same thing will happen if he does and you mite not have a team left standing by the end of the year

The umpire for Coburg's reserves is number 9's father and is the most blatent cheat going around.....his son is a cop out and a sniper will be chance to be floored this year if same situation being dad cheating again......the club should be embarassed to have this man cheat as he does.....do all a favour and not allow him to umpire this year

Sounds odd that an umpire would be cheating, is the standard of WRFL umpiring still shit house? I know last time i played Div 2 in 03 in was terriable.

What did the umpire do exactly against Parkside?

If everyone is referring the CD reserves umpire then it wasn't just the Parkside game which he blatantly cheated in! I think he was a hot topic for a number of weeks on BigFooty

Everything bar umpire fairly!!!

You know whats funny?, i remember speaking to a CD player that day and he said " why doesnt your umpire cheat a bit, If he cheats, who is going to stop him?"

If that was the mentallity of the players that day, then it would be very scary to think what their umpire was thinking.

just to change the topic but its one thing that really sh*ts me..

is it just me or a Ross Faulkners the WORST footys to of ever been made ?

even the burleys that get used in the EDFL are heaps better than the crap we get served up every week... they are like gridiron balls..

does anyone agree ?
