The way Cain and Evo are making excuses it should be a draw but going on past posts Cain's expectations go from top 3 to top 4 or 5, to 5th to nothing.

Evo seems like a good coach....Wyndhamvale by 29pts. (Did i spell that right Evo?)....

Neither side to make it....Laverton to finish 5th.

I am not making any exscuses just stating the facts. If we won our last two games we are in the mix for a finsih of anywhere from 3-5 and now we have our work cut out to make the five.

After the last two performances that we where very very ordinary i am not sure what to think of our sides ability. In all honesty we are just an average side and our ladder postiton reflects where we are at.

Evo if we play the football we have played over the last 2 weeks you are in the game up to your eye balls. Yarra hold the key to the match, if we can service the forwards with half decent delivery(which has not happend all year bar Nth Sunshine) we should beat you guys as i think we have individually a better side on paper.(note we have individually better side than Laverton and Braybrook and we lost to them).

Look forward to the match and hope to get back on the winners as i hate losing.

not really an excuse just ann on going problem with our side that we are trying to address and we know we need time as a side to improve and get anywhere near a great side but my challenge is to fast track that improvement as fast as i can. lavo played well.

At least the comp is pretty good this year cos it is now rnd 8 and basically every game is important and holds some importance to the shape of the ladder.... that great in my eyes. would be better with a few more W next to Wyndhamvale (yes rooster thats how to spell it lol).

I cant wait for saturday and yarra should be a good game.

maybe you spend too much time on here and give all the excuses in the world why you guys are losing.......your teamates read it and think gee what is this guy our teamate on about.......he bags us and then he expects the ball on a plattter going into the fwd line........cain its 2nd div footy mate stop bagging your teamates..........

deer park very good 1st half terrible the 2nd half should have won by 25 goals going by the 1st half........even thouhg i hate the word should......we will take th 60 odd point win........

the old 8 point ball game this week v lavo should be interesting......

well done to glenorden too.......forfieting their games in a show of respect for the young fella who died on friday after an operation from an injury a couple of weeks ago.........

Cain,

I have never seen a bunch of soft footballers in my life then what i did yesterday. I watched your number 42 (johnny??) sherk about 3 or 4 contests yesterday, it wasnt good enough. Davo went missing after quarter time and you big donkey ruckmen gave you sweet F.A all day except in the last quarter when he got in a blue on the wing. Yarraville are bunch of softboys and a few of them should look at themselves in the mirror. Yourself.. you have talked yourself up on this forum for a long time, and i have to say that you were one of a only a couple of blokes to put their hand up yesterday, you brought the team back into the game in the third quarter. One critism is that you dont wanna chase! i watched you yesterday and besides your terrible terrible 1930's slickback hairstyle you didnt wanna chase (im not sure if you heard me over the boundary line, but i told you all about it) where to for yarraville this year cain?? and Braybrook are not an ordinary football team either. We won yesterday with peircey sitting on the sidelines for 80% of the game yesterday and another one of out forwards missing as well.

I must admit Yarraville/Seddon are very ordinary and to say that your side is better than Laverton and Braybrook on paper is a joke because in the end both teams were able to overcome Yarraville/Seddon fairly convincingly. Just because your team played A grade football last season doesnt mean your a bunch of superstars.

Couple of big games this week:

Nth Footscray v Parkside - TOP OF THE TABLE CLASH
Laverton v Deer Park - Possible elimination final preview i would presume

Tips?

I am not bagging my team mate at all. I am just simply stateing the facts and the only way to improve as a team and individually is to be critised and then to work on those issues.

I am fully supportive of my team mates and hope collectively we can work on the issues we all need to work and start playing with some intensity and life our work rate and hardness at the football.

To the brooker, yes i can not agree with you more on most points and mean no disresepct by saying Braybrook are an ordianry team, thats just my opinion.

Braybrook where harder at the pill, used the ball much better than us and deserevd the win.

I do think on paper individually we have a much better side than Braybrook and Laverton for that matter, but its a team game and when you are not playing for one another and doing the basics well your going to losse more game than you win.

I have spoken my teams chances up and i am happy to admit that i am most likely wrong. There is still a long way to go not giving up hope on playing finals football.

To the Glenordern Football club our thoughts are with the family of Andre Gilmoure.

Fair Call, and yes need a haircut lol.

Where to for Yarraville i am not sure. We have to adress the issues at hand and like you stated we where terriable and very soft at the contest. Your critism of myself is true, when your use to someone tagging you week in week out you sometimes forget to work the other way yourself.

I think Braybrook are an ordinary/average team in the comp and Yarraville at the moment are no better. I am not sure how we respond to the weekends performace. We need to start to have a red hot go and takle and chase harder and our disposall has been below par all season long.

I guess we work hard on the training track, speak about the issues at hand, make a few selection changes and regroup and have a win this week against Whydhamvel.

I am moving on now from last weeks match as there no point crying over spilt milk and now focus our intention to Whydhamvale.

I said in previous posts Parkside are the best team by a fair bit and if they stay healthy they will more than likely win the flag.

Whydhamvale will be a big challange for us next week the way we are playing.

And as I have said you haven't seen North Footscray play and know nothing about the team, so not sure how you can make that statement.

Mate if the Vales are a big challenge then your season is over. How is your new recruit Collins faring? I see he has got in the best the past two games. The Devils and Cobras were also keen on him, but the weight of coin won out.

  1. Parkside 4 Goals
  2. Laverton 2 Goals

1. Devils by 3 goals
2. Lavo by 10 points

Watched majority of the Parkside V Albanvale game on the weekend. Magpies were very impressive. I thought Jeugan and Taleb set the game up early though the middle and Muratore was excellent on a wing. Cobras would be disappointed with their performance. For some reason played a flanker in Siranni on Paddy Davis. Strange decision and Davis made them pay early. Although to be fair he is a bit of a protected species.

Thought the umpiring was woeful. Old Terry can't keep up, so on several occasions you had two umpires too close to each other. For example, one umpire would say advantage play on (after deciding a free kick), but the other umpire would blow the whistle and call the ball back. I saw this happen 3 times.

Please do not defend Braybrook or yourselves you are both not up to finals footy this year. Brayrook have been betten well by parkside in the last quarter when it counts and by 100 points to a "soft" nth foots with nth kicking 23 behinds and still winning by 100. Who you going to play for next year? I'll put money on it that it won't be yarra

Terry is disgusting. Absolutely embarrassing, what about the one where he payed a mark from a handball ???

Well done to jugga, simply too good on the day. Cobras very dissapointed with our perforance, didn't play well.

We must regroup now going into the break ....

I know that Parkside are clearly the best team and Nth i havent seen play this year and anything can happen on the day but i stick to my word that Parkside stay healthy nobody beats them.

Collins has been a handy very good and solid player rather than spectacular a very hand inclussion he is one of our better players(at Yarra) makes good decissions, good skills, good mark and we are very happy to be at Yarraville. We are lacking those qualities at Yarraville.

Our season is far from over with 10 games remaining, but if we dont change the style of football we are playing you could say that.

On paper we should account for Vales, but on paper we should of taken care of Lavo and brookers too so it may be a challange for us if we play the football we have been over the last fortnight.

im not sure how to rate d/p performance on th w/e.......need to be up and about on the weekend otherwise i might be like cain crying cause my team isnt good enough.......they beat us down their last season we have picked up a couple of handy players off the street a couple of weeks ago and pretty close to a full list to pick from.......im scared to say we will win when the oposition have been playing well and im sure they will be up for the challenge on their own dung hill........

lavo 6 goals.....if we lose im happy we win im happy.......

I was there at the match also and i thought the cobras had too many pea hearts playing for them.. parkside hit them hard all day and when the hard stuff came a few of the cobra boys went lookin for there mummys insted of goin in for the ball.. I think the move putting Siriani on Davis was a bit hopeful from the cobra coach but he later put there full forward on him and shut down davis (also took a huge mark but wasnt rewarded instead penalised for hands in the back what a joke) some1 has mentioned the cobras are without their big CHB who broke his leg or dislocatd his ankle and most likely would have gotten the job on davis.. parkside are a very good team but i wouldnt say albanvale were givin them much to deal with. Kreuger was very good out of the guts and tommo ran hard all day big number 62 has a big deadly kick for a fatty and can run! Did sedat play, if he did,, did he get a touch good win for the parkside boys securing there spot at the top

Thats your opinion and thats fine but im over it

When we played Yarraville you guys had nobody who could play on Wells, Kennedy or Zurek for that matter. Your best option for Zurek was Leroy Collier who is ordinary at best and i know because i went to high school with him.

Wyndhamvale will give Yarraville/Seddon an almighty run for their money. If i was putting money on it id go the Vales.

And for you Weapons .... Are you still playing champ?

Spot on weapons - Cain, the boys from Yarra should do what your last 3 clubs have done and **** you off!!!!

Well done to Jugga and the boys from Parki on a great win.

Had a few beers with the great man on the weekend and they're certainly keeping a lid on things!

Richardson vs Sir. That should be a good contest. Young super fit kid playing on a very experianced exceptional player. See how that unfolds. Lakkis SHOULD get Taleb. Not to familiar with the rest but I should say the skipper from Nth needs to step up in a very big game and silence a few doubters me included about his ability in a pressure situation. I would also suggest that the assistant coach might want to spend this Saturday afternoon putting his head over the pill in a show of leadership. All well and good to kick a bag against the very bottom sides but I and this is a personal opion am yet to see ANY hard ball gets against the better sides. Running around with the spuds under the arms does not automatically equate to hard ball gets.

Dont be bitter because your over the hill and can no longer play. I left on my own accord all clubs, if certain people like yourself did not like me you should of been man enough to talk to me about it and not take cheap shots on bif footy.

Yarra are far from conceding our season is over we have had two bad losses and are only one match out of the 5 and have 10 to play. Its not going to be easy but if we can get back to playing some clean direct football and can pick up our pressure and talking we will be in the mix for a finals spot.

Time to move on to the next weeks matches.
