Come down tomorrow and watch the first ever BOAGS Preaseason invitational @ the nice ovals at Bulleen Park, Bulleen Rd, where ALBION FC will take on 7 other 2010 Premiers from different leagues for the $5000K in cash & prizes. Gates open 10am and day finishes at 6pm.
Jumping castle for kids!
ALBION FC are a middle to outside chance on BETSTAR betting. Heard they are having a crack tomorrow.

Richo appears fine mate and primed for a big year. No individuals were mentioned at presentation night, it was just more a case of saying to players, supporters etc that everyone needs to hang around. It was a theme in a few different speeches. Bit of a challenge going up to first division Weapons!

Interesting to see on the league website that a Weekly Footy Record is coming back for 2011. Will be keen to see how it looks. :thumbsu:

Very costly isn't it? A sheet the players names and numbers is OK. With the local newspapers, radio, big footy etc. you probably get enough. However, I do like the record for finals footy.

I would prefer they plough whatever $$$ there is into the radio programs. I never miss the friday night show and the Saturday afternoon bonaza is first rate. Nothing is at this level around metro Melbourne, so I hope those guys are fairly compensated.

It is great to hear that a Weekly Footy Record is coming back for 2011. Great advancement from the league and for the comp in 2011

Predicted 2011 ladder
Spotswood
Albion
St.Albans
Port Colts
Sunshine

Hoppers
Altona
Sunshine Heights
Nth Footscray
Glenorden

Don’t under estimate the continued rise of the St Albans saints as a super power under coach Denny
Just think back to last year, they won a final with virtually half a second’s side.
When a side respects & plays for the coach any win is possible.
The Saints have recruited well with the likes of Aaron Henemen (ex Essendon, ruck, centre half back), Aaron Ford returns to the club from a stint with NFL club Montmorency & a couple of strong bigger bodied handy recruits from Melton will add pace & muscle around the ground.

looking forward to the radio broadcasts as well with Kev & Tomsy on community radio 88.9fm, they are second to none

Bring on the season boys!

The player from Melton South is Chris Sinserick , very handy player . He will be one of the best backman in the comp and a very good bloke at the same time . Great get St.Albans!!!

Rock - you scared everyone away:D

Are you playing and will you fit into the new faster squads plans?

Also what is with all the departures to Corio, what is the association down that way?

I doubt with even my natural speed i could fit in to the squads plans.

As for playing unsure yet if i do it will only be in the reserves, but may see about some assistant coaching opportunities if any still available or some recruiting.

As for a few colts boys heading to corio, pretty sure one of the boys has family coaching down there, most of the players heading there were reserve players but will still be missed!

How did the suburban footy classic go? Who got up? South Barwon? Marby? How did Albion fare?

South Barwon defeated Marby in the final quite easily.. Albion made the Quarter Finals but got knocked out by South Barwon... They also played in the match of the day against Marby.

Do u no much about the players that have been cleared to corio. No

Noticed Luke Theodore on the clearance board. Now I have had some tongue in cheek comments relating to Spotty in the off-season, but this bloke is apparenntly a key sponsor down there and gun when he played. There has to be more to the departures then what I may have thought???

Rayzor, Strongbow, COkeefe19, anyone?

Going home to Colac isn't he?

Spotty have signed Justin Morris from the Jets. Is on Willy's list so probably won't play much.

177 days until the rugby world cup held partly in New Zealand and organisers have said there is not enough time to repair the turf at the stadium in Christchurch, so have transfered to Auckland.

24 days untill round 1 in the W.R.F.L or
52 days until round 5 when the Maribyrnong council says Heights will be right to play on their new turf.

Either the Maribyrnong council should put a tender in to repair Christchurch's ground, or put in writing and jointly sign with the W.R.F.L the assurity of safety and duty of care to all players.

I can see a Luke O'sullivan (carlton re waverly park) happening here.

Correction Brimbank Council.... Listen to the coach talk on Kev Hilliers radio show on Saturday and they are working on being away for the first 9 rounds.. so maybe that is more like it

Obviously there is not much footy talk happening hence the nit picking Jan. SO lets say its round 10. I'm guessing round 10 is still less than 177 days. Do i have to go on? Lets say St Albans are up and flying and come round 10 Hennerman does his knee on some shifting turf. What are the ramerfacations from that? That's what i'm getting at. Its not heights fault.

And further more i don't give a f@#$ which council it is, I would be encouraging every team manager to take a camera with them just incase.

What if it was Spotty and Cloke or
Sunshine and D. Jacobs or
Colts and Weiry

The most affected out of all this is heights themselves. Trying to recruit to a ground they don't even train on and trying to attract juniors in a non growth area to a ground they dont train at.

what is this the team line or should it be "one week at a time"? tell me how many times Sunshine has recruited two ex AFL footballers in the one year and then rethink the comment above. You couldn't have been at training last night or you are covering up how well Sunshine has recruited, one or the other. Anything outside the top 3 with who they have this year will be a failure

the mayor of big footy learn how to spell its ramifications not ramerfacations you tip r@t

What a load of rubbish, Two ex AFL players and a host of ex Colts / St Kilda City players looking to make the move. This comment was meant to divert attention from a club never to win a premiership. Lets hope the Wiggins boys don't carry on the feud with the current assistant coach following coming to blows last year. Will be interesting to see how the local boys who miss out on a game take it, with all the replacements close to the coaching staff (Not referring to Danny either)
Lets hope this was an attempt at sarcasim - Good Try Sunshine #10
