If that is the case, and I believe it to be so, then I take that comment back. However, it does raise another concern. With SLakes pulling out last week & now Newport unlikely to continue, that will now leave only 11 teams in U19 competition
Been saying since the inception last year is why in the hell did we go from 18s to 19s. In 2015 there were 16 u/18 teams last year there were 11 u./19 teams this year looks the same. best suggestion......lets go back to u.18 or even finish juniors at u/17 then go to seniors

Finish juniors at 17

Thanks for clearing that up. Hopefully this is the last incident for a very long time. It's just not footy.

Some good games this week - Parkside v Tarneit
Braybrook v Heights
Wyndham v North Sunshine
Lakers v Lavo

If teams in higher positions win, it create gaps in the ladder. If they're are some upsets wowee it could really open up the competition - exception being the last game mentioned (that should be a close game though). Should really be the closest round of the year!!

There were no racist remarks, just a little banter from the sidelines, i no this i was behind the goals, sunshine heights do no that there reserves players were involved, again i watched them play, i did hear the aggressor was a past sunny heights player playing at deer park this year! all in all yes there was banter yet somehow i feel 20 or more men from sunshine heights confronting 4 men from wyndham suns reserves team was absolutely disgusting,Division 3 has became what it was always going to become!
rabble!!!
Probably the same 4 that got into braybrooks coach!! well done to sunshine heights! Someone needed to put the ass end of the world back in there place...

You are kidding? It was me and my good mates they attacked at sunny heights! Let me tell you this! We where not even part of the banter, we finished or game and stood against the change rooms having a laugh and a couple of drinks when a wave of islanders who don't even play there came over and asked no questions if you think that's ok then your part of the problem! The violence is getting old in this comp! It is dead set bottom of the barrel.

shake N bake, read what Industry Fitness actually wrote. Him and his mates weren't part of the banter.

Your comment "no room for racism" is spot on, but my question to you is, how do you feel about physical violent assaults against people, guilty or not of any type of banter?

so[/QUOTEpull the racism card, that's original, there is no room for innocent people getting assaulted on the outside of a football oval, justify it to yourself all you want, the wrfl has done nothing as yet on this matter, let me tell you there has been statements made, turn it up ya dill

Watched Tarneit v Parkside and as much as scoreboard shows a close game it was a formality early on.Tarneit stuck to task very well with no 2 for Tarneit best on in my eyes.Parkside are a very selfish and unaccountable side with too many trying to break tackles and have snapshots rather than give to teammates in better position.Cloke was good and unselfish unlike the rest of them.Clear case of Parkside having more talent as opposed to playing TEAM footy.

So nothing's changed then with Parkside... always been the same....

Game of four quarters in the Western derby yesterday, Suns vs Tarneit. Suns dominated first half, came out in the third and watched Tarneit run rings around them. Got down to about nine points at one stage I think before Suns picked up a gear and started to play better team footy to come away with a good hard win. Impressed with the Tarneit boys use of the ball and their ability to zone forward and back to gain the overlap.

Lavo first win for season for seniors and ressies against a very disappointing Braybrook
Well done Lavo. Adds a bit of interest when results are less obvious. Would love to see a closer season than in the past, I realise that's idealistic, but keeping interest in the footy is surely better than wondering which team won the fight each week. Good result, now for the next one.

Interesting listening to the WYN FM wrap up show on Saturday evening when they discussed an interview they did with the Laverton coach on their Friday night preview show who said that Lavo had decided to shut the doors pre-season but didn't tell the players. They thankfully got the numbers shortly after to keep the place ticking. Remarkably resilient if nothing else that mob. Seems like they don't turn up until May every year.

Plenty of new blokes down there.. would say 80% of last years team has left so credit to Sam and Tim for keeping the doors open. Hopefully things finally turn around for the club, if not good on them for still fronting up and fielding two teams every year.
