Plenty of new blokes down there.. would say 80% of last years team has left so credit to Sam and Tim for keeping the doors open. Hopefully things finally turn around for the club, if not good on them for still fronting up and fielding two teams every year.
i think a lot of the dead wood at Lavo have gone which is a good thing, a lot of new faces there now. A good time to start something special with the young group they have there now

yep.. all of the derelicts have gone as well as that some guns too.. but I watched a bit of the game on the weekend/have been keeping up to date with results and I noticed that the team is working together much better and there's a better culture which made me think that lavo is probably better off without their few guns of the past few years because they only played to each other anyway.. so new faces and a complete new start is probably the best thing for the club and hopefully the results start to reflect that, if not now then next year

Nothing to do with Lavo, just brought back painful memories of a team I was associated with. I think the description was kicking to team mates instead of kicking to teammates... shitful to watch and shitful to not see the coach put his foot down. Good on them if they have got rid of that.

It's amazing
Sam young has done what others couldn't.
That's sure to ruffle a few feathers.
Good on the bloke.

Been quiet on here for a a little while. Heights and Tarneit game should be interesting, titans have a few outs I hear

Was a hard fought game but we didn't get the points today. Sunny Heights played well on their home deck like usual. Good respectful rivalry being built up between the two clubs.

Been a while but caught a Div 3 game Saturday Lakes v Norf Scumshine.. Quality all around , loved it
Watched a bit of this game as well. It was pretty fast, not the cleanest game I've seen, even at Div 3, but it was definitely fast. Seemed to me that both sides were pretty young. Obviously neither Club is having a great year, but if Lakes let Finlay see out his 3 years at the club, he will use his VFL experience to turn this young list into something special if they can keep them all together. The North coach spoke well also, and has a very different lineup to years gone by, so maybe that club are finally turning the corner, if they can keep disciplined, and keep a lot of that young group together, maybe they can finally find their way back into the finals in the next couple years.

Interesting you mentioned Findlay and seeing out his 3 year term. Spotted at Point Cook last Thursday night around 9.30 pm having a drink with president and others from his supers team last year. A little strange considering Thursday night usually team selection and players and coaches hang around for a beer.
Could be one of three reasons. 1) just popped into have a beer with old players 2) looking to return to coach supers next year 3) looking to coach seniors in div 2 next year when PC join WRFL

Or maybe it was 9:30 so SL had finished their team selection for a fair while so he went and had drinks with a few mates?

Queens B'day weekend, not much to talk about in all honesty.

Hopefully Point Cook do join next year, will they lose players though if they do leave the VAFA?

Information night at Point Cook tonight.

Definite Point Cook in WRFL next year although your'e unlikely to be playing against them unless you win premiership and go to Div 2.
Don't think they will lose too many, if any, mates just want to play with mates and where they play is really irrelevant

what makes you think they will start in div.2, there in D3 Ammos and getting flogged most weeks

One game out of the finals last time i checked. Take it up with the league, we are only going off what they are telling us

With a percentage of 81%, I wouldn't think they are getting flogged most weeks. That would put them 4th on the WRFL Div 2 ladder with that %
It's only what I have heard, requesting that they enter WRFL in Div 2

Werribee districts were div 2 in VAFA when they entered our div 1 a couple of years ago. Makes sense that they enter division 2 IMO.

Some interesting games this week!
Braybrook v North Sunshine

&

Heights v Parkside

Heights seem to be playing good footy and with some big ins this week, playing at home might be a chance against the parkers.

Good luck to all teams! Hopefully Laverton or Lakers provide the comp with an upset!!!!
