I'm putting this out there for the ignorant people who take most of what they read on here as gospel. I have ties with Tarneit & the Suns being around both since they formed. Two Clubs trying to build something that most clubs in this League have been doing for more than 30 years, for some not very well. Culture and success. After 5 years Tarneit seem to be on the right track finishing top 3 in the past two seasons and retaining the majority of their senior list from 2017. The Suns are still in their early stages but seem to be tracking in the right direction finishing second at the end of the Home & Away season and look to be only losing a couple from their 2017 senior list.
All the talk of the Suns losing their 2's players is purely because the clearances have been lodged in November rather than February when most 2's players can be bothered worrying about it. Lets look back over the past few seasons just to give those out there a realistic view of life at football clubs.
In 2017 Tarneit played 46 guys in the Seniors. Suns 40 and Nth Sunshine 49. (I put Nth Sunshine in to compare between an established club)
In 2016 Tarneit 42, Suns 45, Nth Sunshine 47. From Tarneit's 2016 senior list 23 played in 2017. Suns had 18 and Nth had 21. Very similar.
Now for the Reserves lists just to prove a point.
In 2017 Tarneit played the Suns in the Prelim Final. From their 2016 list Tarneit lost 31 players for their 2017 season. Yes you read correctly 31. The Suns lost 28 players for the 2017 season. Hard to believe after reading previous posts on here that both clubs could survive. It must be a miracle that both sides actually played each other in the Prelim Final in both Seniors and Reserves in 2017. Maybe some of you need to take a look at your own back yards and start putting precedures in place to creating the right culture at your own club rather than potting those putting in endless hours of their own personal time to create a place for the community to bring their family and friends to. I wish all of your clubs the best and I can't wait for the 2018 season to start.

Lots of numbers about players moving, your right players move, if I was the Suns I would be concerned with amount of players moving, most of the players moving were the back bone of there reserves team ( the former coaches and also last years coach). Pretty sure if we went to the list of players leaving TFC, most of those guys player minimum games, probably the same at all clubs. Last time we saw a big movement of players was to Tarneit from Falcons and I think the Falcons are still suffering with the lack of depth.

Great common sense writing. Unfortunately, common sense doesn't live here in this thread.

For what it's worth I agree with you though. I believe Tarneit must be the favourites. They have built a good list, and will have a bit of a fire burning after last years GF. They will be hard to beat all year. The Suns likewise. Don't worry too much about the players leaving, the Suns will overcome that, and being that they are currently holding onto most of their aces from last year, I'd suggest will be the second best side in the comp. It's a raffle from there on in. Heights should find a way to play finals again, and either Norths or Sanctuary Lakes (Centrals) to round it out. I thought they improved out of sight last year, and will be a lot stronger this year as a result. No idea what Glenorden will bring to the table, but there are plenty of stories of a few Div 2 players having found their way there, so should be alright. Braybrook have extricated itself from some of the rabble that was hanging around there, new Coach, new direction, maybe they are a sneaky. I've heard next to no rumblings from Lavo, so can only assume another tough year is in order, but they will have a crack, no doubt there. Titans and then daylight.

Way too much intelligence in this post that will fall on deaf ears for many! Haha

Well done and great points. Clearly a passionate man!

How's this year shaping up for divvy 3 this year should be a cracking year - anyone have any idea when the fixtures are released ?

Current rumours doing the rounds

Glenorden struggling to get the numbers. What is there is quality, but a real struggle to fill 2 teams.

Hearing from a couple of fronts that the North coach has quit the club. Anyone able to confirm?

Tarneit are spending Div 2 money in an effort to get out of Div 3 asap. The talk is 90k

Just 3 that I have been hearing almost everyday down the pub. We all know the bolony that gets reeled off this time of year, but thought someone may be in the know.

Agree with Glen Orden, will cop some awful hidings, will be good to lavo and North give them a hiding. Might as well use traffic cones instead of players in their reserves games.

In their defence better to be playing than still in recess, for them the only way is up.

Whats the salary cap in divy 3 $50,000? If you're right they are paying nearly double, who have they recruited to give that money too? Would have had to pick up some decent players for an extra $40,000

Any club spending over 50K in WRFL Div 3 are insane, with Parkside gone, the competition isn't that strong, it's an even competition which is great but no real super standout strong side and you should be able to win the flag spending 35-45K.

Could we see in a couple of seasons Div 3 being a single team competition. It seems to make sense and will ease a lot of pressure of some clubs finding 30 blokes is easier than finding 50 odd.

Definitely not saying I'm, right, it's just the same persistent shit that I keep hearing down the local. Thought I'd throw it out in here and see if anyone knew anything.

Wow if that is going to happen is the wrfl still a viable comp as with most leagues there is next to no under 18/19 teams this could be the start of the end

Xmas ladder Prediction. Could be right, most likely wrong :)

Tarneit
Sunshine Heights
Pt Cook Centrals
Nth Sunshine
_______________
Braybrook
Wyndham Suns
Laverton
Glenorden
Does everyone think this is just Tarneits flag to lose? I tend to think that's the case, but I guess we will see in Sept.

Like most of the educated Brethren on here he wouldn't know what Wikipedia was if he didn't go to Google First.
Your grammar leaves a lot to be desired.
Jules Verne would be disappointed at your simplistic uncouth grasp of the English language.
I'll put it simply for you.
You no form sentences too well.
Now put that pig down cleatus you slack jawed yokel and learn how to talk to people.

All Power to you Sneaky. The Western Suburbs could do with the odd educated redneck.

Agree accept for Suns into 4 and Centrals out.

Why do you think the Suns will fall down the ladder they finished third last year.

Tarneit are a lock for the premiership (for both seniors and reserves) small quick team, they have been building up for this for 2 years, agree heights will be the surprise challengers.

Heard they lost a few players, happy to be proven wrong on that if that's the case, and if so place them 4th.
