Any talk on braybrook recruits ?
I find it strange that they didn’t spend this cash whilst in div 2 to try stay up. Seems like they thrive on being in div 3 to notch up another flag and then bottom out when it gets abit tough. Only if they put this effort in before round 1 in the season gone.Wouldn’t be worried about Braybrook. Still needs to catch up to the pack. I’d be worried about Albanvale though.. they are having a serious crack!!
Interestingly by the looks of who they have picked up - 5 players worth maybe 18pts (black - 4, Cameron brothers 4 each, greenwood brothers 3 each)??Plus a couple of others too, not sure who the others are or what points they are but at least 2-3 points each. How are they going to squeeze all these new players all in? Can they pickup more?

One of the reasons why it should be a 2 Division Competition. Both Grand Final sides go up and bottom 2 come down. That’s a really interesting point... couldn’t agree more

Thats a very narrow minded attitude. After coaching the Suns the past two seasons it's an absolute waste of time trying to build a club the right way in Div 3. If it went to a 16 team competition every team would play each other once with a Final 8 system. Instead of your current flogging of teams by 100 plus points 2-3 times a season it would only be once. Yes you would have another 2-3 teams which would cop floggings but you would also have another 3-4 teams who would be more competitive creating more interest. It would give all clubs the opportunity to build a club the correct way over a 2-4 year period instead of being stuck in Div 3 where nobody gives a shit what happens apart from those involved trying to get out. Div 3 is a nightmare to try and build a club unless you have money to offer or you've just come down from Div 2.No thanks, YSE were last season beating some of the D2 bottom sides by 100 points+, what would they do to bottom D3 sides? Wouldn't be pretty.

Cannot believe what I just read
Raised my eyebrows. Think it may have been poorly worded.
Grammar aside; it's a fair point. So what are your reservations?
Your post contradicts itself. Your opening line is right div 3 is needed for certain clubs survival, then you go on about juniors.Returning to two division is a brain dead idea and will kill several clubs.
The league is trying to build not squash teams.
Div 3 is the perfect place to build a club if it’s done properly, is planned and not rushed. If it’s driven by egos and an inability to accept at present a team belongs in div 3 it will always fail.
Spending 50k in 3rd div and then saying it isn’t enough shows how far from reality the league has come, if anything div 3 should be given less money and teams FORCED to build through juniors.
Building a club does not take two years and rushing it will set some clubs back for several years to come.
Looks like deer park have got another brain surgeon on board with this bloke taking over as 2’s coach!!!
You’ll get used to 100 point floggings this year looking at the clearences list with all the 2’s players jumping ship

Fact is outside Tarneit no other div 3 side will have any real junior program, they might get 1 to 2 sides tops with most having none
The fact is there was 5 u19 sides in the wrfl, div 2 and 1 clubs are struggling with juniors.
Div 3 will be a single team competition within 5 years, no reserves.
So you tanked at albanvale to go divi 3 to build a perfect place
What about the div 1 premiers spending 300k+ with no interest in juniors. How does it contradict itself!? Lol
I’m saying the teams need to be made to concentrate on juniors and build from there. If they can’t they won’t survive and then how on earth will they even be able to try if its only two div and they are getting smacked weekly? There is no positives in any club getting beat by 200 points every two weeks.
The whole league needs a rethink. To busy concentrating on female footy and completely dropped the ball on young male juniors.
How can teams be spending 50k on seniors and have no interest on juniors?
How can a club that had a full hook of juniors 2 years ago now have 3 teams?
To many egos trying to win senior flags for themselves and not build clubs in anyway.
North apparently won't commit to a coach for another two weeks??
Talk about being late to the party.
Cant imagine they were flooded with applications.

Word is they may not field a senior men’s team in 2019... would be a shame if this happened. We all need someone to play against.
