That's not what I was getting at. These old churches, breweries, gasworks and factories in Melbourne that are converted to nightclubs or apartments etc are interesting because their function has changed, not because they are old. There is something intriguing about seeing the change of function represented in the design.
Having a section of the ground shaped like a baseball stadium would be interesting. Likewise, keeping a grassed terrace when another stand goes up would be interesting as well. I haven't actually seen it, but those pictures definitely make it seem more interesting that Homebush which does have a sterile feel.
