-- In the latest PWTorch newsletter, editor Wade Keller states quite bluntly that there is apparently a top wrestler wrestling in the WWE today who’s considered to be on an “unofficial death watch”. He doesn’t go on to further elaborate on who this wrestler is, but he does go on to mention how people need to do what it takes to keep him alive, even at the “expense of box office receipts, storyline interruptions” and more.

-- The deathwatch, which is apparently no secret to most within WWE, is still possibly unknown to Vince McMahon, who would need to be informed. The un-named wrestler, should he pass away, would make the coverage of the shocking and tragic news this week of the passing of Eddie Guerrero look minor by comparison, due to his credentials.

-----------------------------------------------------------

I have a strong feeling that it's Kurt Angle. He is recently divorced, riddled with pain, has really seemed to be fluctuating in his size and physique for a year now and has a family history of angina, which killed his father at an early age. His credentials are a former Olympian, multiple time champion and etc. Added with the death of Eddie Guerrero, it could turn out very bad.

I would be absolutely devastated if it was Angle as the guy is my favourite perfomer by a huge margin. Perhaps they should start looking after their talent a bit better by not making the older wrestlers do as many shows etc.
I don't know if i'm rambling or not because after reading this i'm very shocked at the moment.

The other name that springs to my mind is SCSA although he isn't currently wrestling with the wwe at the moment.

You could really tell how hurt Kurt was inside when he entered the ring on Raw the other day. I know he's used to the "YOU SUCK" chants from the crowd during his entrance but i really felt sorry for him this time as he was clearly emotionally weak and i didn't think the chants would of helped him out.

To me Kurt is WWE and it would be a shame if he is the one.

I certainly hope nothing comes of this, would hate to see another wreslter go, especially if it was someone like Angle. Great wrestler and one of the best heels ever, really knows how to get the crowd going.

it does sound like angle. with the neck injury, etc he had he could be on alot of painkillers

i think the only others wrestlers who, if they died, would have a FAR greater impact than eddie's death would be the rock and hogan (but they hardly wrestle so i doubt it)

while other guys are big in wrestling such as austin, flair, taker etc, they don't have the same general public awareness as the others

as the former wwe wrestler Test put it: who's next?

If its not Kurt Angle id say HBK or Undertaker

Michaels is a total man of god and (fairly) recent born again. No chance in the world it's him.

Angle would be the most obvious.

The other week he had the play with the crowd about the "You Suck" chant during his song. At the time i thought some of it was real, and not a work. If anyone can, watch it again, i can't remember specifically but the points where i thought it had gotten real are pretty obvious imo.

Ric Flair?

If its kurt, then that is really sad news...even if he is considering it. He's my favourite wrestler and a role model for so many.

I hate to disregard this news, because if Wade Keller says it then it would most likely be true, but we will never know the unamed wrestler (unless the unthinkable happens) so there is no point guessing. Everyone goes through rough patches and everyone considers suicide, with the right councilling and a good amount of encouragement, he/she should pull through

As a person who isn't a big wrestling fan I have to disagree with you, all 3 of those are (SCSA especially) fairly well known outside of wrestling, at least to the point that their deaths would have a greater impact than Eddie Guerros (no disrespect intended).

ETA: Wasn't there a wrestler a couple of years ago who was in suicide watch?

maybe, but i wasn't talking about the casual fan, i'm referring to people who have virtually no idea about wrestling

i agree they would have a greater impact if they died suddenly, but the original article stated that eddie's death would seem minor in comparison, and i just don't feel anyone other than the rock or hogan would be able to do that

or maybe it's vince himself???????

EDIT: after reading the chilling angle article in another posting in this forum, it seems pretty obvious
