Haha Byrons "advice" "Ricochet needs to stand and fight sheamus is the only way he can win"
Graves rightly said that's literally the worst way he could go about it.

Isn't Byron supposed to be the face commentator? Haha

This is the hardest part for people to understand or accept. Everything they have ever done over time is build stars to draw money realistically they give two fu**s about Sami Zayn vs Finn Balor but it’s Roman Reigns vs Cena they care about and you can even go back to the day when you had guys who were brilliant like Mr Perfect but never the “man”.

AEW claim they are more for the fans which they might be in this current climate but there will be a day when the wheel turns and it becomes about money, have to be profitable to operate on a larger scale.

You only have to look at history - Hogan, Austin, Rock , Cena all massive stars and the money they drew in was ridiculous.

Bret Hart and HBK run circles around any of those guys in the ring but never drew as big.

WWE doing what they have done for decades no other company has been able to go with them and the jury is out on AEW will it be the savior for wrestling or will it be another WCW plenty of promise but a stacked roster that limits their ability to create new stars that can take it to the next level?

I love some of the stuff they are doing but sometimes it really does remind me of WCW just with stacked roster and so much going on.

For what it’s worth I would love WWE to do what AEW and that is the Cesaro, Balor, Zayn types that are really high up there and have good runs but it’ll never happen.

Right now you could say Roman Reigns is a star but is anyone else at WWE on that level? It’s funny but Cena and Goldberg walk straight back in and the three of them are the most recognizable names. AEW has the same problem Jericho aside is there anyone on that roster the name jumps off the page at you and the casual or non wrestling fans recognize?

Neither did Diesel, Pycho Sud or the Undertaker as main event attractions.Diesel was drawing so poorly, that they had no option but to put the title back on Bret.

I wouldn’t exactly say that Drew McIntyre, Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley or Roman Reigns are big draws either in comparing it to Hogan, Austin, Rock or Cena.

I reckon Roman Reigns is well on the way to becoming a mega star

Roman is the Hogan to Omega’s Flair. Head back to the 80’s Flair had the better wrestling skills, the better matches and the better promo’s but worked for the smaller organisation, so to the mainstream audience He was unknown.

Hogan had the biggest company kissing his arse, and burying his opponents, appearing in films and TV, while repeating his matches and promo’s.But people knew him because of being more mainstream.

I’d rather appreciate the work of the wrestler, than the mediocrity of the entertainer.

Roman is being built so he can take on a megastar in the Rock. The finale of the Bloodlines storyline.

It’s been said before they are a content creator they don’t want megastars anymore as they become too powerful. No one bigger than the company.

Who else are they building though? Everything revolves around Reigns.

UPDATE ON ADAM COLE'S STATUS
So apparently Vince McMahon has told his writer to come up with ideas to have Cole on either RAW or Smackdown. It is being said that Vince is really high on Cole and does not want him to go to AEW. And is "willing to do anything" to keep him in the company. Cole will probably be given the chance to choose between RAW and Smackdown. A call up would mean a huge increase in pay for Cole(which some speculate is a Million dollars a year).
Current plans are for Cole to feud with Shinsuke Nakamura and Apollo Crews for the Intercontinental title if Cole decides to go to Smackdown. Cole is set to win the title(probably on his first match). But that is not all. WWE is in a surprising turn of events booking long term with Cole. The idea is to have him eventually turn face and win the 24/7 title. The idea is if Cole takes on any challenge at any time he will be seen as a top babyface. Vince also wants to change the colour of the 24/7 title(with the same design) to better suit Cole. Cole will be the first person in history to hold both the Intercontinental and the 24/7 title. Cole is expected to not unify the titles and defend them in separate feuds. Cole is expected to feud with Nakamura(who is expected to bring back his low-blow gimmick and turn heel) for the IC title and Nia Jax for the 24/7 title(since the 24/7 title can be won irrespective of gender).
It is being said that both Vince and Nick Khan want the absolute best story for Cole that makes him look like the star that he is.

‘if that’s the best their creative can offer, then he really should leave.

That last bit is totally fine, everyone is going to enjoy what they want to enjoy and so they should.

For me, Roman Reigns, the current version of his character, is must watch TV. His expressions, demeanour, the way he wrestles. The best thing the WWE has done in such a long time. It’s what’s drawn me back in to eagerly watching again and actually getting excited.

Funny how the same people who bagged WWE for hoarding talent are now bagging them for not hoarding talent lol.

That Richmond fan on the previous page is right, nobody actually gives a shit about Finn Balor vs Sami Zayn. They catered to a small passionate denominator (and struggled to keep them happy) and that small denominator has gotten smaller and smaller over time. They need to find a way to become cool and relevant to the average Joe again but those days are long gone.

Most accurate thing I’ve read on this board

Hes a midget. They'll promise the world to get the signature then he'll be sent back to the back of the pack with the rest of the short people.

Most likely yes. Thing is this midget is good enough to make the big baby faces Vince likes look extra big and good (even if very green and limited).

I reckon that RKO on riddle was almost a “let’s be friends” RKO haha
Riddle was KO’d with a content smile on his face. He’s the only reason I watch RAW

So he gets RKOd but they are going to team up for the titles? I think that’s what is happening but it makes absolutely no sense at all??
