I can't say I'm too happy about Alpha Academy becoming tag team champions, Otis is cool but Gable is the definition of awful.

Also I hope Nikki doesn't go back to her Sanity gimmick, why would you give her back the gimmick that almost got her released last year and a gimmick that wasn't over with crowds? I'd rather her character evolve into something different instead of moving back to something that didn't work to begin with.

I want to dislike the first part and like the second part of this comment.

Sanity Nikki was what got her to WWE...

Nikki Storm was the pretty premadona Nikki.. this superhero gimmick is just not suited to the WWE. No matter the meaning behind it.

The hard part is what does RAW or Smackdown need that will make her stand out?

Rhea is the nightmare and Bliss is also the twisted.

We dont need a primadona as there a plenty of them.

It would have to be someone to serve a purpose to another wrestler already in the rumble for example Jericho has a history with Owens. Having someone that the WWE only watchers would recognise although I think it would be awesome if someone like MJF appeared because of his current program with Punk but I doubt WWE would want that as it does more for AEW than WWE.

Punk could be in the Rumble ;)

there's some good discounted compilations here if you want to grab something before they clear all the stock, since WWE aren't producing DVDs any more for the Australian market

The pricing is so random. The stuff I'd buy (best of NXT vol 1 + Kurt Angle) remain normal price while you look incredulously at Wrestlemania blu rays for $7.

That said, it is a bit of a shame that I'm on a road trip and, with all my stuff in storage, I don't know where I'm up to with WMs that I own. I've been a bit of a completist with WM and they're good prices... they just aren't good enough events to buy if I already have them!

Sounds like Corey Greaves has been cleared to return to the ring so expect he will be in the rumble. Never watched the original NXT just the first few takeovers with Zayn and Cesaro so can't recall what Corey was like in the ring. Was he any good?

He was solid in ring, I remember thinking he’d eventually get called up. He was a bit of a cool, slow methodical character, had “stay down” on his knuckles and would have a submission move where his eyes would light up like he’s killing someone.

Bit different to who he is now just bullying Saxton or whatever.

Pretty happy Alpha Academy won the titles they are a good team both super athletes.

Good on them Gable has worked hard to get this over.

Who turns Orton or Riddle?

he was passable. looks like "bargain bin CM Punk" visually though

Didn't realise Gable and Otis trained together for the Olympics, now that ww know that and they've been friends for that long the partnership makes complete sense.

Yep only found that out recently they live down the road from each other and train out of Gables garage.

WWE here is a tip use this type of stuff because I'm more interested in them after hearing this then I ever have been.

‘oh it’s a true story? I assumed they made it up for storyline of winning the tag titles

Go watch WM27. Cole v Lawlor. We don't need a commentator v commentator program.
Can't compare the two, Jerry was well past his prime and Cole wasn't a wrestler. McAfee (34) can hold his own as he's shown in his short run against Undisputed Era and Graves (37) was decent and still in great shape. Not to mention the promos between the two would be top quality.

Yeah I can’t see them giving a leg up to AEW. I think the Mickie James thing is a bit of a square up for the garbage bag incident and a nice gesture on WWE’s part.

On top of Jericho on the WWE Network, didn't WWE ask if AEW if they could borrow some ex WWE talent for a Vince docco?

Highly unlikely anything happens, bar apart from the scheduling thing a few months back, things seem nowhere near as bitter between them as they did with WCW/Impact. I don't think they see AEW as a direct competitor either.

I know Punk and a few others left on bad terms and they probably don't have the best HR record at the moment, but guys like Bryan and Cole look like those who would go back to WWE in a few years.

WWE want to save a lot of $ on salaries, better IMO for them to let talent come and go as they need them.

No full blown PPVs, but think the odd spot here and there both ways would be pretty cool and always keep fans on their toes with both products.

It's not like DC and Marvel crossover where you have a shitload of legal roadblocks that would ever prevent something happening.

I know this post is overly optimistic to the point of delusion, but reckon the industry would benefit from a quick but proper invasion type angle that's never really happened in the modern area of pro wrestling.
