WWE would have to relinquish some control over the product and they will always have a pro WWE outcome. Anything ECW or WCW related in the past has only ever been to feather WWE’s nest. I don’t think they’re capable of a 50/50 collaboration with another organization. On top of Jericho on the WWE Network, didn't WWE ask if AEW if they could borrow some ex WWE talent for a Vince docco?
Highly unlikely anything happens, bar apart from the scheduling thing a few months back, things seem nowhere near as bitter between them as they did with WCW/Impact. I don't think they see AEW as a direct competitor either.
I know Punk and a few others left on bad terms and they probably don't have the best HR record at the moment, but guys like Bryan and Cole look like those who would go back to WWE in a few years.
WWE want to save a lot of $ on salaries, better IMO for them to let talent come and go as they need them.
No full blown PPVs, but think the odd spot here and there both ways would be pretty cool and always keep fans on their toes with both products.
It's not like DC and Marvel crossover where you have a shitload of legal roadblocks that would ever prevent something happening.
I know this post is overly optimistic to the point of delusion, but reckon the industry would benefit from a quick but proper invasion type angle that's never really happened in the modern area of pro wrestling.
