Re: www.footyjumpers.com

I think it would be better to have the uniforms of the Brisbane Bears sepearate from those of the Brisbane Lions. The Brisbane Lions is a club created by the merger of the Brisbane Bears Football Club and the Fitzroy Football Club. The Brisbane Bears are only one part of the Brisbane Lions, Fitzroy is the other.

The best thing would be to have a link at the end of the Fitzroy and Brisbane Bears uniforms that goes to the Brisbane Lions uniforms.

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

I have seen all of Hawthorn's jumper designs at the Hawthorn Museum at Waverley Park. There was discussion of wearing each of the club's early designs as hertiage round jumpers. The question was how would fans handle the Hawks in and Essendon jumper.
I respect and understsnd that it's our history, but I'd most likely vomit at the sight of Luke Hodge wearing anything that slightly resembles an Essendon jumper.

Yeah very true, but wouldn't you just love to piss off the bombers fans by wearing it too? Imagine the uproar it would cause ;)

As a footy fan, seeing Essendon and their supporters upset, angry or frustrated is a great feeling, only second to Hawthorn's success, obviously. But it still wouldn't be worth it imo.

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Yeah, it would be very confusing and somewhat amusing to watch. Didn't actually realise the game they were thinking about wearing it in was against Essendon though. Obviously it would have been non-negotiable.

On a different topic, I have some suggestions for your logos section Mero. There are quite a few logos on your website that have two or more versions (which you even mention on your site). It would be good for you to also include these, by maybe having them open up when you click on the full-size image. Examples are the current Freo, Geelong, GC and Melbourne logos (I think that's all). In fact, I think the GC logo you have on your site is the 'secondary' logo anyway.

Here are some pics of the other logos I was talking about, just to make sure we're on the same page:

Couldn't find the simplified dees one but I'm sure you or someone else who has the resources or knows how to find these things better will be able to find it

Another logo that I think should be on the website is that Richmond centenary logo from 08. I loved that one. Not sure whether it was still a secondary logo or whether it was even their proper logo that season but it was used a lot. Here's a pic of that one too:

and also this one was used a fair bit in 08 too:

Btw, both of those centenary logos were found on official AFL sites giving an indication of how much they were used in 08 (http://www.melbournefc.com.au/Default.aspx?tabid=7415&newsId=53301, http://www.afl.com.au/tabid/208/default.aspx?newsid=64190)

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Yeah, I know its technically only one logo but it certainly comes in different versions. I'm not saying his logo is wrong or anything and calling it a 'secondary' logo was probably another bad word choice by me. I just seem to see the gradient infested monstrosity more often than the simplified one. e.g. www.goldcoastfc.com.au and I also found that one when I was searching on the ATMOSS site. I just feel that the logo on Mero's site doesn't quite reflect the Suns' first brand quite as well. Their detailed logo has all of the rays and gradients which help to show the modern identity they tried to take on as a new club IMO.
Anyway, I wasn't suggesting for him to replace it, only add to his logo section to create a more complete resource

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Mero, there's a small issue on the North Melbourne clash for this year. The outlines on the stripes should be black and a bit thicker.

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

On the North clash jumper, seeing as it was worn as a home jumper a couple (I think) years ago shouldn't it also be in the home jumper section?

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

I actually prefer the older version of it. But even that is pretty bad...
The jumper reminds me of the bananas in pyjamas

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Yeah but its the baby blue that does it for me.

I remember that we got called the bananas in pyjamas when we wore this:

For some reason I thought that the bananas in pyjamas wore a little bit lighter coloured pj's as well :p

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

North Clash jumper now fixed.
It won't go on the Home jumper page though, it's a Clash jumper.
The fact that they wore it at Home is irrelevant.
Carlton wore the M&M thing at Home, doesn't make that a Home jumper.
Half the Heritage jumpers were worn by Home teams, doesn't make them Home jumpers either.

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Any move on those freo heritage jumpers and those logos I posted Mero??

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Adelaide, Brisbane, Carlton, Collingwood, Fitzroy, Footscray, Hawthorn, Melbourne, North & West Coast uniforms all have a link from the Club page.
The rest of them are coming soon.
Where's the link Mero, I can't see it anywhere.
