It's not transphobic at all. He also said multiple times that he doesnt care what people want to be identified as, he just disagrees with a biologically born man playing women's sports(paraphrasing). I agree with him.

Each to their own, but humans born MALE should not be allowed to compete against genetic women in professional sport.

Its a vexed issue for some, clear cut for others. I think there is genuine transphobia around, and that they utilise the excuse that it is not fair for females as their reasoning. But in fact they believe (and its their right to) its wrong, unnatural and Satans work.

I have just listened to a part of it and immediate thoughts:

• trying too hard
• trying hard to be mates with sam and don (or sammy has he calls sam)
• speaks very quickly with not too much substance (ready for afl media)
• faux pas liked I have typed out above.

My thoughts exactly, just finished listening in the car coming home from the MS Run at Flemington and the kid didn't sound genuine at all.
He lost me when he called Don, "Donny Boy".
I understand he's just a kid, but a little humility and less smug confidence would endear him a lot more.

On the other hand, Max Newman is fantastic.
Episodes 1 & 2 had me laughing out loud in the car, the other drivers must have thought I was crazy.

I find that when say in this case trans, when in this case Sam, speaks with a trans person his opinion won’t be as harsh. ie “you can’t be allowed to compete against biological women”. It’ll be a much softer approach.

Which for mine makes me think Sam doesn’t care about trans topic but is doing it for public discussion.

i concur with this. Its been going on for I think more than a year. Yes definitely.

Don not paying attention to what's just been discussed, and Sam constantly getting upset at Don for not paying attention, has worn thin.

Yeah I knew that, I think from memory he actually came back for a few episodes after the Stevens interview.
More recently there have been some hints dropped regarding some unrest between Sam and the Rocket, perhaps even legal issues? Not sure if anyone else has picked up on this? Lol
