Sidebottom and Rich are my last true upgrade targets. If I'm able to downgrade Hartlett to a Meyer/C. Garlett, hopefully I can afford to (cheapishly) upgrade both of the two aforementioned players and have 4 trades left for EMG/INJ situations. Chad may get traded out when Goddard hits his bottoming price; have yet to decide.
 
I've had a nightmare run with injuries so am down to 5 trades. Still ranked very highly but...inside top 200.

I think despite my low amount of trades, I've pretty much finalised my side now so hopefully i can reserve my trades purely for injury cover from hereon in. However, i have no Ablett, Riewoldt or Swan, and I'm treating GRimes as this years Ibbotson....but this is the price I've had to pay to stay competitive and not wear 0's. Interesting to see how high up i finish without these guys.


This is not the perfect team that i envisaged, but is pretty much my finalised team now given the situation i faced.

So obviously this is not an ideal side and lacks a bit of power....but given the injuries, my best hope has been picking up the underpriced players.

I had reserved the trades for Ablett, Swan and Riewoldt....but ended up with Cross, Salopek and J.Brown. Its a lot of point lost, but i did the best i could with the money i had available and the amount of trades left.

I may just roll the dice and risk having 4 trades for LTI on the run home, this would then allow me one more downgrade that would allow me to upgrade both Sidebottom and Rich to better premiums.

Considering I've used potentially two LTI trades, this goes with my initial thought of saving 6 trades for LTI's.

Like many others, I've considered Grimes as a 7th backman, not ideal, but such is life.

After split round Rich will become Bartel. Then later on Beams most likely downgraded, probably to Anthony.
But I'm now worried about Muston- his job security, i thought he could play the 6th mid role, but now not so sure:confused:...
Finally, it looks like Houlihan will need to be traded, his job security is also an issue and now his points are on the slide(will use cash from Beams to get gun).

Didn't bring in Enright this week which I am filthy about but in the end, it may allow me to upgrade Muston to Corey whereas I would have had to settle for a Cross/or anyone else around 400k. I will probably be bringing in Ellis in place of where I had Enright.

Im a couple of steps behind the more seasoned teams due to using trades of LTIs.. had dalziel, hille and richo now cornes.. which stole a chunk of my trades.. I still done pretty well with my trade ins.. though got them all at cheapest prices.. dalziel > hayes ... hille > Hmac, richo > SJ. Krakwhore > okeefe.. have 7 trades left... going rich > bartel next week.. means ill have to keep coghulan as my 6th mid.. could do a whole worse.. prolly upgrade hoops to hodge at some point.

Im pretty happy with my FWD line.. managed to stay clear of franklin and gia.. picked up Okeefe who is killing it.. didak in this week. with reiwoldt to come in around finals time.. or whenever sidebottom can get to 260-70 plus..

Injuries early in the season stuffed me up big time [Richo, Boomer, Palmer, Hille...] and some bad choices [Hentschel, Ward, Griffen]. Lost money on most of them. Too may trades were forced in order to avoid 0's, quick fixes. Ah well....

A few injury concerns currently - cox, goodwin, pavlich, chad - but overall i am pretty happy. I think ive got pretty solid cover, although i am worried about sidebottom getting back in and muston holding his spot if the hawks ever overcome all their injury concerns.

Not having ablett, bartel, swan, lockyer or SJ has seemed to hurt, and will probably continue to feel like this, but in the end they just didnt fit my trading strategy (focus on bringing in value) and were generally too expensive so they were overlooked.

Im happy, and hopefully i should have a nice finish.
