Its way to early to predict your final team, I think that its really important that you keep an open mind all year as to what you are going to do 'next'

Thats the plan. Due to some bad luck early with my backline ill need to keep Higgins (and possibly Houlihan), but the rest of the team is strong enough to make up for it.

My only goal throughout the season is to beat my previous rounds score, keep raising the bar haha. Probably why I'm not doing to well at the moment. But yeah, if I have a final team planned for around round 18 etc, I would get annoyed watching as injuries/suspension/bad form influence my plans and where I planned to upgrade Higgins to Riewoldt in round 14, two long-term injuries in round 13 force me to trade to avoid a doughnut etc.

I am only ranked around 7,000 so take that onboard like you would when dipping your balls into a hot bath, carefully.

Alot of the teams are looking good. I'd like to know how many upgrades people believe they can do...
I set myself at 7 downgrades and 7 upgrades with 6 for injury.
Most people are looking to upgrade atleast 8 players on here.
I guess it comes down to injury and luck :p

I think it's very important to have a plan so you don't lose track of trades, trade at the wrong time etc.
Obviously events may happen that mean you can't stick to it exactly.

Will also consider trading Mac and Adcock out if anything arises. Cox would be the only option for Hmac and Adcock or Houlihan which ever one survives the longest will probably become a 7th keeper. I dont see much to trade upto that will increase my points on a weekly basis.

which one of your teams is this plan for
 
I'm struggling with the concept of a finalised team.

Simple enough to factor in which players you need to upgrade, estimates for how much cash your bench players will make, how much you may need to upgrade your on field upgrades, how many trades you will need to use to get a squad assembled and how many you will keep for LTIs. That's the easy part.

The difficult part is you have no idea which players will be value when you are ready to pull the trigger. If you are ready to upgrade in Rd 8 to a premium forward and SJ is 280K while Buddy is 470K you simply take SJ at the value. So to pick which players will finish in your team is basically impossible unless you are willing to pay well over the odds.
 
I work from a pool of players when upgrading. For instance when it comes time to upgrade my mids I want Bartel, Swan and Kornes/Thompson to come in - whichever one is cheapest at the time will be brought in, the others can wait till next upgrade.

6 for injury? Is this about right? I am going to be screwed then.

Surely this includes people only out for 1-3 weeks? Is the option of riding these injurys out there or is 6 a rough estimate of your keepers that will be out for the season (thats around half :eek:).

I need 8 upgrades and that includes either houlihan or higgins as a keeper.

Willing to be very flexible, because trading in 10 premiums will require a couple of direct trades. Hoping Harvey can come down another 60k over 2 weeks allowing me to directly trade Westhoff for him. So yeah i know which players id like to get in but will snap up whichever guns fall greatest in price.

Think I need to make 4 direct trades if i want to pull this off. If not then Higgins, Houlihan and Thomas will stay as keepers.
